Have you ever heard "the rule of threes for climbing trees"? It's premise is that you must always have 3 of 4 limbs (cute pun, huh?) touching or supported by the surface of the tree.

i think that funny saying kept me from breaking my neck many times. As a child, it was part of the "kids bible" and i taught it to my own son as well.
