She was right. She always is.
    It snapped. Then she left.

Cool! ’Chameleon boy’ is my favourite Blue October track. But ’Calling you’ has a great video. :)

I’ve posted those two videos in the music thread here if you fancy a look. Clicky clicky >> http://oneword.com/groups/active-users-of-oneword/forum/topic/music/?topic_page=3&num=15&_wpnonce=d6acc2e0d3

A couple of my favourite Blue October tracks. I had the pleasure of seeing them live a year or two ago. If you ever get the chance, I would definitely recommend these guys as a great live band.

Hopelessness is the very bottom. It is an imagination and volition drinking vampire. It sucks up self-respect and concern until bones and brain decay into a dusty recollection of how things used to be. It feeds on this memory until all is gone.

Hopelessness is the basement’s basement in that dark pit with the floor of rock. The way up and out and back into daylight is difficult. Finding the ladder that often plays with invisibility is a task requiring an oxymoronic change of heart, but it is there.

Rage is that feeling that brings up images of strangulation. A feeling made up of the colour red, the smell of sweat, the taste of blood. It’s love combined with sadness. Frustration. It courses through your muscles and tightens them, makes you dizzy, fills you with adrenaline.

    It’s a coward’s paradise.

    ”No,” he sighed, ”I’m not.”

”Too bad. I thought you would’ve changed.”

    ”Well, then you’re stupid.”

    ”You’re not so bright yourself.”

I kicked him as hard as I could and tried to flee, but his hand grabbed my shoulder and yanked me back. I drove my elbow into his stomach, and this appeared to be more affective because he wheezed and let go of me. I took off as fast as I could, not even daring to look behind me.

Active Users Of oneword

Public Group active 4 days, 6 hours ago ago

Please join this group if you visit oneword regularly. We have forum games, discussion threads, writing prompts etc.

I have created this group as a hopeful means of enabling active users to meet each other, share their writing and to generally converse. It seems that regular oneword members have little interaction, are online at different times and drift past each other ‘like ships in the night’. So feel free to join if you fancy meeting other regular oneword writers.
