Last night in bed, I thought about what I could do to help make some more fun for us at this site and for some reason, the game Balderdash came to my mind. To play, every day I will post a word and each of us will write a silly definition for that word. The next day I will post the real definition and a new word. I’m only sorry that I can’t figure out how we can vote for our favorites!

Today’s word: xanthopsia

Xanthopsia is a condition whereby you all of a sudden get the hiccups which is following by a severe burst of laughing and a hunger for chocolate. The only known cure is to chew bubble gum.

The real meaning of xanthopsia is: a visual defect in which objects appear to have a yellowish hue; sometimes occurs in cases of jaundice.

Today’s word: kishke [?k??k?]

A kishke is a brand new toy for young children to help them learn eye-hand coordination. You toss this squishy, yukky looking mass of rubber to the child and the child is almost magically drawn to catching it.
