That centerpiece was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. An elf holding a candy cane, okay. I can deal with that. But an elf feeding a candy cane to a cross-eyed reindeer with only one ear and no tail? I couldn’t even finish my pumpkin pie.

You’re like a sponge. You absorbed all of my emotions, turned them inside out, and threw them out a window. I don’t know why anyone continues tolerating your presence. You need to make a serious change before I can say I like being around you or that I admire you. Because I don’t. I only [...]

I live in the middle of nowhere, where you never see a street sign that says “avenue.” I don’t even know the difference between an avenue and a street or a road, I just know we don’t have them. Not to even mention whatever a boulevard is. Nope, just streets and roads. Maybe an occasional [...]

This is my chance. I’ve auditioned for five different plays here before, but that was when I was a freshman and no one knew me. I’ve gotten more familiar with the department now, not to mention I’ve declared my major so now they know I’m one of them. I really hope I don’t screw this [...]

Destruction is usually a lot prettier in movies than construction. Or at least, more exciting. Building something is really a boring process. But destroying it is a fun-filled release of energy! I hate it. Not fun or energy, but destruction, I mean. Even on a tv screen. It’s always bothered me that at some point, [...]

Force sounds like such a violent word in my head. But it doesn’t always have to be that way, I guess. You can force a smile. That’s not exactly violent, even though it’s not always a good thing. Sometimes you just have to pretend to be happy, like if you’re dealing in customer service. Which [...]

A sentence in my last thing said “Certainly not a piano,” but I meant “Certainly not an umbrella.” My time was running out and it was a stupid mistake. I just wanted to clear that up. Although, I guess it could make sense the original way if you’re thinking is kind of nonlinear… (and whose [...]

Probably one of the weirdest words I’ve ever heard and yet such a strong symbol when you think about it. Offering protection, or whatever. But not really. It can protect you from, what? Rain? Maybe really small hail? But what’s going to protect you when someone drops a piano on your head? Certainly not a [...]
