    I’ve been noticing some changes,
    In the way my thoughts converge.
    The content always ranges,
    But a pattern has emerged.

    I used to feel so free,
    At least, inside my head.
    But something’s happening to me,
    I feel confused instead.

    I’m not sure what to blame,
    My senses are the same,
    I can’t find the cause.

    I just know something’s wrong.
    It’s like my thinking is a song
    Sung to someone else’s scores.

    I pause.

    There’s sense in what I’m saying.
    Perhaps I’m not insane.
    But in the issue I’m portraying,
    Certain forms remain.

    Someone call the nurse,
    I think I know my curse,
    My thoughts are all in verse.

    It’s getting worse.
