Anchor my heart a million times to the oceans skin, and to the sailors breath. Anchor my heart a thousand times to the caverns and trenches that line the earth’s floor. Anchor my heart a hundred times to the tide’s pull and the moons watchful eye. Anchor my heart ten times to swift currents and salty waves. Anchor my heart to that of the oceans and I’ll ride sea over bow to watch it sink.

You tied a knot on the back of your hand, and turned your skin inside out so I could see you weren’t holding back. But you’ve untied that knot, telling me i’m not worth it.

Some people really need magazines, and I just don’t understand that. I’ve seen all the magazines on the self in the stores, I’ve seen them in the line of the grocery store. People, Cosmo, In Touch, and whatever […]

leah commented on the post, insect 1 year ago
To everyone else you are just an insect that flew by me one day, unnoticed and untamed. Everyone won’t know that you caught my eye that day, and still I keep watch as you fly away. How can you only be an insect to […]

And I sat with my popcorn and my drinks and my life
And I watched the screen without looking away
And there were moments when I forgot who I was
And there were times when it didn’t matter that you didn’t care -

For the earth is mighty
And I am still so small -

leah wrote about the word trunk 1 year, 4 months ago
I often sit outside on cold winter days and listen to the tree outside my window. It cracks and creaks and tells me tales, whispering of the bare beneath. But in its voice I could hear a missing piece, a tale untold, an incomplete dream- so I asked the tree how this came to be. [...]

I’ve been believing in something;
A flare of light, suspended in the air
It doesn’t last long enough to catch
It goes quick enough to want more -

I’ve left my heart in the snow, in the books, in the music, in the words. I’ve left my heart in all the places that remind me of you. You’re the one who tore my heart from my chest, I hope you’re planning to use it for something meaningful. So, i’ll tell you now that [...]

Like silver paintings, a smile to last a century Autumn breeze Colours of the farthest trees, burns shapes and sunset dreams Crimson field falls from the sky Twirling like ribbons, falling embers to the ground Water turns with the falls of leaves, leaving a dance of patterns Silhouetted forms sway from side to side You [...]

The old tires of my car lay absent minded in the frost. There will be no shelter for them, I no longer truly care for that which does not work.

Teeth sharp, wicked tongue;
And I am begging you,
Spark me a flame, blue and crimson.
Deal me in,
And I will beg you to chain me,
To give me a ghost I can speak to;
I can tell a story,
If only you wouldn’t sacrifice
My still beating heart. - Load More
