spring! What a lovely time of year which comes too late for my tastes here in the mountains. Blooms by June 1st are a rarity so I often start buying flowers in April just fill my need for colors other than brown, white and gray!

stacks of books…I’ve seen a used bookstore like this. Stacks and stacks of books. Clear to the ceiling. Too bad the proprietor was a jerk. Too bad the prices were too high for a poor college student…but it was the epitamy of my idea store.

First memory is having to iron my dad’s BDU’s…I hated that. Summer weight. Winter weight. Yuck. Not a memory I treasure.

It is a mystery how some children survive to adulthood. Either their parents are so inept or the child is so annoying that it is just a mystery that they survive. Sometimes my child IS one of these children.

I was given a 12 place setting china set, antique, by one of my husband’s clients. It was old and he didn’t want it. It was originally made in 1936 and has 14kt gold leafing on it. It is beautiful!

romantic…something my hubby is not. Loving. Supporting. But so not romantic. Occasionally he does things that surprise me…like flowers and chocolates for our anniversary.

Before this year, during warm weather I take my son to the local playground. There he gets to meet up with other children and I get to meet with other mothers. Now that my son goes to preschool on that day, I still go just to talk with other adults…an important “me” time activity.

Makes me think of law, which makes me think of my mother. She was a paralegal for years. First in private practice where she started out as a secretary. Worked on some doozy cases but then in the public sector for the state’s attorney general’s office.
