Her eyes twitch and I see the bulb in her head go off, as if she has another ‘great’ idea, “What is it now, Sam?”
“Oh… uh… nothing.”
She picks her backpack up and dashes towards the bus stop- head full of thinking.
Her body twists to-and-fro as her bony skeleton-like appendages dangle in the wind. She smiles and lifts her frail arms to hug you, “I’ve missed you brother.” You obliviously follow her into the darkness, thinking to yourself, ‘Is this really my sister? She’s changed so much.’
