Sticking my finger in an electrical outlet may very well give my nearly brain-dead brain the very boost it needs to be able to give vent to my now-withered and sorely-missed creative outlet. A sort of recharge, if you will. Or, even if you won’t.

Flanel #5. It’s my favorite, fashionable new parfum. It’s the latest scent from New York’s premiere eau de toilette magnate, Pierre du Cardin de Va Grinchy. It will be hitting retail shelves soon.

I can’t do this anymore. My pride has seen me fall too many times. The shadows grow long like my beard. Time has come and time has passed. If I can’t figure out how to help myself I will turn to you.

Trees. And more trees. I love them. They’re not too cuddly. They’re like an iguana for a pet. They’re cool and all, but you can’t snuggle up close and fluff one’s hair. Worst. Post. Ever. Hey, they can’t all be winners, right?

Your cheek against my hand, as you almost cry in both joy and sorrow – it may have been the single most moving moment of my life. I love you so very much and can’t wait to continue spending every waking moment of the rest of my life with you.

An indistinct silhouette was playing on the wall from the few candles placed around the small and mostly empty room. It was quiet. Very quiet. Sam knew right then something he hadn’t known before. It was going to be a long night. He had better get started.

Never moon a werewolf. I found this out the hard way. My shiny, white ass will never be the same. I had to go to the hospital to have fur and teeth removed from the resultant melee. Again, never moon a werewolf.

share your psyche: 2 years, 8 months agoThe barely-visible, vaporous remains of the last star finally dissipated and winked out all together. Trent was the only thing left in the now otherwise voided and infinite Nothing. He moved in as straight a line as he could know, away from the death place of the last Light. He traveled through nothing into nothing relentlessly. It was the only blind thing he could possibly do. It was the only occupation to be had – the only thing that could keep him from going even more mad than anything could ever possibly dream to imagine. After all, as far as he knew, he would never cease to be. He couldn’t remember being born or created. He had to take his parents word on that. Whatever happened to them? Where did they go? As far as Trent knew, he may have always been. Even when all the stars in all the heavens faded slowly down to death, here he still was. At least he was relatively sure that he still was. It’s hard to know. When all you can do is hope that you’re actually moving, when the smell, touch, taste, feel, sight and sound have all faded, there’s no signposts to pass, no directions to be asked, and no destination to be had. After a few millennia in the Void, one forgets what colors were. One forgets what the word shapes really meant. Shapes is a word, right? Or was he making that up? Is word the right thing to use to name those communicative, structurey things? He hadn’t been able to communicate with anything other than his own mind for an indeterminate amount of time. Time was also extinct now. How long had he been deaf and dumb? It didn’t really matter. There’s no air or other medium through which sound waves could travel even if he could speak. If he tried to speak, would sound come out, or would he just be moving his mouth? He wasn’t at all sure.

I love the idea. My friend Brad and I used to hang out, get unsober, and be very creative. One such night I fired up my recording equipment, made up some chords as I went, Brad read/sang some of his poetry inspired by our very recent and incredibly awesome Halloween. Here’s the result: http://drop.io/halloween_song

In reply to - Becky posted an update in the group share your psyche: He is so removed from the world. He was born as a star, simply watching the silly people walk around the Earth with fascination. He grew to love the people and wished he could help them. He felt happiness when the small ones would ooh and aah at his sparkle, sometimes shifting to get an extra gleeful noise from them. He felt sadness and grief when he saw loved ones killing the other, or killing others for revenge. He felt rage when innocents died and when mothers left their children and when husbands didn’t keep promises. One day, another star passed by. He had never seen another star pass him by. He was much too far away from the others. All of his companions were old and died off long ago. He studied her glow and saw that she was doing good. What exactly she was doing, he didn’t know. He heard a single gasp from the Earth. ”Look! A shooting star! Make a wish!” A little girl clasped her hands together and whispered, ”Please send us some food.” The little girl’s mother heard her daughter’s wish and she put her soft hand on her daughter’s head. The shooting star whooped with delight and went out with a poof. He was intrigued and continued to watch this family of three. Over the next few days, neighbors began to notice the poor family and brought them home cooked meals and invited them over for dinner. In time, the entire community was brought together for the first time since the houses were built. He paused in his brilliance. He had never thought that he had that kind of power. Maybe he didn’t. He wouldn’t know until he tried. But he was scared that he would fall out of existence for nothing. What was waiting for him on the other side? Is there another side? Then… he decided it didn’t matter. He shifted farther than he had ever shifted before and slowly started. Soon, he picked up some speed. A tail! Here comes Earth! What am I doing?! I can’t do this! I’m insane! What was I– ”I wish that he will come home to me.” In a split second, he knew who she wanted home. Far away, in a place he had never paid attention to, a man was sitting alone in an airport. He was scared to be home, scared as to what he might find after years of not seeing his wife. He held his ticket home. This was the decision. To throw it away, or face his fears. The star screamed, ”Go home! It’s where you belong! Go to her! She needs you!” The man gripped his ticket and with a new hope, disappeared into a crowd of people. And so, the star sighed and blinked out. • View -

Fallon wrote about the word overjoyed 2 years, 8 months ago
I’m overjoyed at being free now. I’ve been far too long metaphorically chained to a toilet in a never-lit basement right next to an over-sized litter box for a never-fully-seen mutant thing that’s lived there since who knows when.
