What's on your mind? 10 months, 2 weeks agoI was looking for something. I thought I found it when I looked inside myself, but before I knew it, it was gone and out of reach. Traces of it lingered in my mind, taunting me, entrancing me, ruining me. I was crippled by my own mind, longing to re-experience a fleeting moment over and over, more and more, again and again, till there was nothing else left to feel. Till there was oblivion.

”Will you capture it?”
The memory floated out and broke itself apart into millions of glittering particles. As they spread out in the morning light they glittered with the brilliance of the sun forming a kaleidoscopic vision before my eyes. I felt a lightness in my heart. I started gently flailing my arms hoping to catch some of the glittering particles, so I could look at them more closely. When I pulled my arms down and looked into my palms, the particles didn’t look the same; they were disintegrating. The brilliance was just a fragmentary perception of my memory. The memory was fading.
Are memories meant to be captured?

Memories are meant to be hard won and pressed, preserved like flowers shut between the pages of a book – mere outlines of what once was, but enough to trigger recall anyway.

They said… 1 year, 1 month agoWhy don’t you get a little ceramic plate, fill it with sand, get a thick wooden comb or just a twig and make it your table-top sand garden? Play a little in it when you feel exhausted… Or just wander around in it with that little twig. I might walk by and say hello too.

They said… 1 year, 1 month agoThe mountains are on the horizon and it is snowcapped with fields and valleys stretching to the base of these mountains. While flying in a helicopter, there is more green than I thought there would be with stone towns and irrigation canals lining the fields. At night the stars look amazing. I’m a little sad that I don’t really have a reference for the terrific night view.
