trees line a hidden road behind my house. i go there to walk and think and look around at nature. i found a kettle during one of my treks. large, heavy and black i like to look at it and imagine the family that used to use it on a daily basis.

a man in his big brown truck just drove up. i’ve never talked to him on more than a professional level. none of the time we have spent talking was anything ore than a hello. none of his life is known to me and none of mine to him. i wonder who he really is.
