I don’t think I could very well explain the effect of manga on my life, honestly. I’ve loved it for far too long to think I’d be the same person without it, I’ve wanted to go to Japan since elementary school, and despite manga – which I am passionate about not only indulging in, but creating, as I consider myself an artist – I am infatuated with the idea of Japan and it’s culture. It’s interesting, detailed, and I find myself attracted to it. From my desire to go and live there for at least a few years (as I have never visited, how can I say for certain how long I want to stay?), to my previously attempted but too-expensive lessons, which will start up again come college, of learning the language, my attention is caught when it comes to Japan, be it cosplay and visual kei (the over exposed) to the history and belief systems and origins of the things there. That really all I have to say to any fellow Otaku’s. Asides, Moshi Moshi.
