It was kind of like…: 1 year, 4 months ago it was kind of like waking from a long dream, wading in the space between nocturnal silence and reality. she blinked awake with one arm through the door and a girlish smile fading in her eyelids.
the sound of faint footfalls danced lazily across wood flooring. piano lullabies, that’s what they reminded her of (the feel of her mother’s airy voice and gentle hands).
