Big mean thinking machine. That’s what i want to be, a thinker, a smart guy learner. It just seems like an admirable ambition.

I feel like a maroon for not knowing the meaning of this word. I know that it is an insult or maybe a color, but either way i should probably stop writing and just google it already.

Stem cells are the cells located within the trophoblast or the “wall” of cells that protect the embryoblast, the actual stem cells. Khan Academy FTW.

Assisted living sounds like a terrible predicament to be in. I’m not sure why, but the idea of not being able to support yourself sounds a bit frightening to me. I hope few people have to go through it.

Tyler wrote about the word given 1 year, 11 months ago
Given to the young boy, the young man, was his grand father’s rifle. He had never known his father, and now he would never again know his grand father’s laugh. All he had now was his rifle, and he was adamant to make something of himself just as his forbearers did.

Unpacking the rope and securing a grapple to the end of it, the adventurers were prepared to descend into the cavern. It was a thick braided rope. Strong. Though as our brave explorers were about to find out, not nearly strong enough.

Tyler wrote about the word honest 1 year, 11 months ago
“I am being honest.” said the goldfish. “Why, i never meant it that way.” said the scientist. “well, that’s how i took it.” Thus, confined to the rules of forgive and forget, the friendshipe between the goldfish and the mad scientist was forever broken. That is, until about three seconds later, when the goldfish forgot [...]

Wading through the river at its widest cross, the adventurers were at the very middle and would soon reach the other side, their destination, and their most fearsome danger.

Crush your ice when you put it in your drinks, or else you might have to deal with that awkward moment where you try to take a sip but can’t because a really big piece gets stuck there and it just ruins the moment of your drink…

Tyler wrote about the word history 1 year, 12 months ago
History was always one of my favorite subjects in school, because it tells the story of all the other subjects. Im afraid that history class will be harder for my children though, because in the future there will be more history to remember.

Tyler wrote about the word cells 1 year, 12 months ago
Cytology, the study of cells, is a really interesting thing. Cells make up life, we all know that, and that’s what’s so captivating about them. Quarky little guys, they’re like tiny little people making up actual people. I won’t lie, i really love the idea of toying around with cells one day as my payed [...]

Being held to high standards can be a pretty annoying thing. The only standards you should be held to are your own really, because the only important things to you are the things you consider important. As far as i can tell, if you hold yourself to the proper standards you’ll become what you want.

Tyler wrote about the word belief 2 years ago
A strong belief can be a good or bad thing, depending on the belief. Not too many beliefs are worth fighting over, but people do it all the time anyway. I personally think we should just go with the tried and true accepting others’ beliefs idea, even if it is a bit cliched.

Ride the train like a hobo, rich man. It’s good for the soul. Do as another would do, and live around outside your box.

Tyler wrote about the word embraced 2 years ago
I would love to be embraced at this moment, c’mon, who wouldn’t, eh? It would be nice, perhaps we should just embrace one another at odds times, it would make anything entirely more comfortable. Give it a try, find a friend and do it for laughs.

Tyler wrote about the word teacher 2 years ago
I’ve always wanted a very good teacher, like a bald old philosopher to take me in under his wing and teach me everything i need to know about everything there is to know. But, i guess those kinds of people are going out of style these days. That isn’t too bad though, there are hundreds [...]

Tyler wrote about the word corner 2 years ago
The corner of a room is always a pretty weird place. I just feel weird looking at it, maybe it’s some kind of response to what happened in my childhood or something, i don’t know. Some people believe the corner of the room holds the most energy, some people think it houses ghosts, but personally [...]

Tyler wrote about the word chalkboard 2 years ago
I really like chalkboards, it’s probably my childish urge to draw all over them. I find giant murals fascinating, and always enjoyed drawing huge scenes all over when i was a little kid. Chalkboards are fun and useful, i guess.
