Teachers gather in the break room.
Smoke drifts from their cigarettes
as they dismiss students from the room.
Exhale slowly,
put your feet up in the chairs.
Break rooms,
it smells of smoke and desperation. -

I looked over in the corner.
The woman crouched,
silent and started to pray.
Glancing at the woman,
I only felt sympathy and
regret for what had been done.
It could not be changed.
A tear leaked out of her eyes.
And as she sat,
scared and crying,
I started to weep also. -

I looked at him in the eye. He smiled at me, he knew exactly what I was thinking. Grabbing his large hands, I led him into the booth. We sat down, making memories recording them on pieces of photo paper. Looking at the pictures afterward of our young faces, it made me shed one single [...]

You stole,
you took.
My blank mind,
empty heart?
Thief I call you.
And you seem to disagree?
Your soft eyes no longer
penetrate my heart,
your stares no longer
give me any emotion.
The thief I ponder,
he no longer will take from any
other. -
Zoe Elaine wrote about the word forgotten 2 years ago
How they have forgotten. Forgotten that these memories used to be tangible, but now they just fade.. How they have forgotten. The feeling of your skin, the beautiful sweetness in your eyes.. How I have forgotten. That these memories have left me. Have escaped from your mind, but have been painfully burned into my mind. [...]

Scattered like a dead mans bones.
Oh the loneliness.
The beggars,
the losers,
how they struggle.
Only the breath of the wind,
remains in their sickly lungs.
Single and alone,
I tear the thought in half. -

I saw the retreating figure. I pondered whether or not I should go near him, he hid behind the tan bookshelf across the room. His dark eyes peered up at me, a dark endless green. He look at me quizically (spelled that wrong), like he was confused at my mere presence. I stared at him, [...]

Everybody goes about their lives looking for more. But then you notice that all you’re really ever gonna get isn’t in the money you make, your shitty or awesome job, or your looks. It’s what you can hold ’against’ yourself and dare to be different, live, and not be brought down by other people. Because for some reason nobody truly does understand that life is not a game as people but it, but literally a lifestyle. And you can’t quit if you don’t like the game, you change it.

Zoe Elaine wrote about the word trusted 2 years, 1 month ago
I felt around the edges. The key could not be trusted but neither can people…and we surround ourselves around with them everyday. I knew nothing about what lay beyond this door, but I took the key, hoping that maybe I could trust what lied behind it. Nobody really knows for sure what it is. It’s [...]

Zoe Elaine wrote about the word approach 2 years, 2 months ago
I approached the person in front of me. Dark hair, eyes and the lean build of him covered in a floorlength (spelled it wrong) coat. I smiled at the sight of him. Extremely hurtful smile, the kind you never want to even see on a persons face. Holding back the flowing emotions I felt, I [...]
