lullaby
I sang the lullaby to her silently. It had been three months since her father had died and before he passed, he taught it to me, telling me how it was the only possible way she could get to sleep. I don’t know how I will manage raising her on my own, but I know I will have to.

signed
I finally signed the papers. I had been worried about them for the longest time. I was worried about what would happen, what people would think of me. But all those thoughts are gone now. Vanished, like the way the light leaves one’s eyes when they are dead and gone.

leverage
I saw Kayla writing on her status about leverage. I now am so swayed about her status that I don’t know what to write. Perhaps that I can use leverage to blablablablablablabalbla i really dont know what to write. All I keep thinking is that Amber and Rebecca better like this because they liked Kayla’s. I feel like the leverage for that is called pity… what frik did I just write…this is supposed to be stream of consiousness right?

placed
i placed my dog into the leash, while i ate the cherry pie. The pie tasted as all pies do. cardboard. nothing like my grandmother’s cherry pie. The only halfway decent cherry pie I’ve ever eaten. I’d say she’s gone now to add drama but she’s not!

I already got this word. 20 seconds ago. I am determined not to get it again.

spa
I never understood why people go to spas. The most relaxing thing for me is to go out into the city and do something fun, wind and sand and sun in my face, then come back to the house and flop down in bed, still a little salty, and take a nap until I don’t know what time it is.

half
He was only half. Half of what he could have been. What he should have been. And it killed him. Was killing him. How he wished he could take back that part of himself… but it was too late for that now. That part that his mind and heart both missed in equal parts was gone, forever. And so he struggled with what little of himself he had left.

concept
It’s strange having to justify these feelings and emotions, as if a lack of ACTION pertaining to this newly realized part of your personality means that this identity crisis is more of a “concept of suffering” than anything. Easy for a person whose never thought twice about sexual attraction to say.

principal
He didn’t care for the repercussions. The consequences of his actions. His goal was simple. The principal thought in his mind, overtaking all other processes, was to get her. Find her, get her out, get her safe. Maybe sneak a kiss in on the way, because you never know. Better to be safe than sorry.

The first thing you need to do in order to build a ladder is think were you are going with it.. then everything will make sense to you, every step of it will be clear, but if you dont know we you are going nothing will came to mind..

doorknob
“Do not disturb;” it read. But “open it;” your inner child said.

keen
The mother keened piteously as she knelt over the broken body of her only child. Onlookers shivered at the agonized sound, feeling sympathy for her, but never truly able to understand the pain behind her moan.

framework
My husband is a carpenter. So is my dad. The stuff they build is shocking, it’s amazing. Neither of them starts with a plan, just whatever is in their head. They build from the ground up, starting the the framework, all the way to a finished product. It’s really quite amazing to see.

mayor
The Mayor of the Lollipop Town was not amused. Not amused at all. There was far too much candy-related frolicking going on. He thought he would be able to put a stop to that nonsense once he became mayor, but his people continued their shenanigans! He had bowed and scraped and smiled and frolicking and laughed his way into this position, the very same activities he looked down upon, but he’d only done it so he could make a difference in such a wretchedly happy-go-lucky world.

brief
I will be brief. I do not like what has happened here, and I require that it stop.
End of story.

grind
My dad was using a grinder one day to peel a log for his log furniture (a poor idea to begin with, but what do you do?), when the grinding blade shattered, and subsequently shattered his shin. A week in the hospital, four bolts, two pins and a year later and he walks on it fine. His leg has never really looked the same though.

jelly
Grape jelly was her favourite thing in the world. Grape jelly on toast. Her grandmother had introduced it to her when she was a child, and the taste, the smell, the texture always reminded her of Sunday afternoons. After church her family would visit her grandmother, and they would have a light lunch of soup, always followed by grape jelly on toast.

emptying
She emptied the pail of compost into the bin at the back of her yard, and wiped the sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand. It was as hot as it had ever been and she was sick of it.

cap
The little boy stumbled as the man in the brown tweed suit knocked into him. The cap flew from his little blonde head and rolled into a mud puddle. Just his luck, he thought to himself, as he scooped it out and continued on his way.

architecture
Oh the grand old buildings. They fly into the sky, blocking the very sun itself. Stonework has a story to tell. Hands shaped these buildings; hands of men that are long gone, with their own stories to tell.

separate
Why eat separate meals–breakfast, lunch, dinner–when you can munch continuously through the day? Okay. Wow. I am really so hungry. Pizza. I’d die for one right now.

sliver
there is a sliver moon sometimes, in the shape of a fingernail, and it glows white and looks like the cheshire cat’s smile or like two rows of dazzling white teeth or like the edge of a pearl if it were eclipsed by something else. the moon makes me not feel so alone.

charms
When I walked in last night, I touched your hair because I felt awkward and I didn’t really know what else to do with myself, and we didn’t talk really the whole night, but as you were leaving you embraced me and I melted into you and we shared a laugh and a smile. You were so charming. I miss your charm.
