manhattan

Manhattan grew grew suddenly out of the green jungle. I had been 1000 since the disaster had cleansed the planet and left this lattice for jungle growth behind.

shoulder

As the music droned on his eyes started to slowly close. They snapped open once then shut peacefully. He let his grip on the wheel relax and the car drifted to the shoulder. The reverberation of gravel and rocks shocked him awake to the sight of the sign.

taboo

Taboo was it’s name. The doll had grass hair and clothing of a potato sack. In various organs were needles and red markings. I dropped it where i stood. I was nauseous. I ran to the kitchen and vomited in the sink.

auburn

The sky was auburn and purple, like her hair. He knew what they said about gingers was true only more so when highlighted with purple.

She took out her collar and put it on, and sat quietly naked in the corner.

celestial

The backdrop of space set a dark, mysterious backdrop for the planet as it turned ever so slowly on its axis. God watched as the planetary top he was playing with slowed and came to a halt, before he picked it up again.

trench

Eh… I’m sorry, but I don’t know what does it mean. Is’t my fist word here.

Sitting down here, I admire life from a new kind of paradigm, way down in my trench. Watch out though because before you know it, you’ll be here too.

vines

There were vines crawling up the side of my grandparents house. Every summer when i visited, they would reach further and further up that house. After they passed away and the house was eventually sold, I saw it again and it had been renovated. The vines were gone. I suppose all things must die in the end.

wall

You place your hand upon the pasty wall. After so long, you can’t believe how long it’s taken to clean. It’s been about ten years since the suicide of your sister, and you can almost feel the blood dripping between your fingers like the day you found her.

cool

Cool. REally what is cool. I think it’s just what people think of as socially aceptable. It kind of goes to show you how judging people effects society. Just think about it. If you walk into a place wearing “cool” clothes people will make a snap judgement about you that could be totally wrong. I think that the sooer people stop worrying about what cool is or isn’t the sooner the world will be a better place for everybody.

sound

Sound is too often forgotten. We never forget the way it looked and certainly not the way it smelled, but can you remember precisely the way it sounded? You may remember the words spoken, or the tune played, but can you remember the sound? It escapes us easily for one reason or another, but if you focus on it, you will discover its richness, its subtleties, and the inability to find its complete absence.

size

It doesn’t matter. No matter how much you try to be something big in the world, you never will matter any more than the smallest speck of a person. Everything you do has an impact. Just try to be yourself, and rather than create greatness with large acts, do it with the little things.

promise

Promise is a funny word, because for some people, it seems to just naturally imply the opposite of its dictionary definition. Much like “unicorn”, people hear promise and don’t think of it as a concrete concept, but rather as a deception.

season

When I think of my favourite season, it has to be winter. I like Winter for many reasons: the fashion opportunities and not to mention the cold weather. Some hate Winter but I think it is very underrated. Firstly, the fashion opportunites:

satisfy

I think this word is the reason I am angry with myself and ultimately everyone else. I cannot achieve anything that satisfies me. Satisfy is a verb – a really difficult word to deal with. I satisfy you, myself, other people …. but there are always constraints (restraints) on its use. The Rolling Stones sang “I can’t get no satisfaction”, but what they were really saying was “You can’t satisfy me”.

employees

They are people who work for me, they have no motivation, perhaps due to my leadership or lack thereof. Employees won’t go the extra mile for a business because in this working culture there is no incentive for them to do so. Employer, in a way, understandably, want more for less, whilst employees have the exact opposite expectations.

dominant

Cats are dominant. Sometimes dogs are dominant. Every now and then, my great uncle Mortimer likes to whip out his shclong and proclaim dominance over our family. Of course, this is why we sent him to St Beth’s.
