certain
certain things in the world don’t make sense. I mean, why is Seinfeld so polular, and why do I not like it. This thing itself is just an extension of free association developed by Freud and I’m just thinking too much whilst writing. I should be on a paper, but instead I’m here; how unfortunate.

banjo
JImnny palyed his banjo while he was sitting on his porch, and his grandma made his gumbo.

needle
threadbare, destructive forces of water breaking the silence of a grey sunday. Ample chances, lost.

spotlight
I’d like to be in the spotlight but at the same time I’m afraid of it. Maybe that’s what’s holding me back in this. I guess I’ll be working on that now…

windmill
its old and about to be demolished it looks so lonely on the windswept plains. its isolated and desolate. Why are there no more around? what has happened to other windmills, dotted against the sky

handle
a handle to a door, could be round or more of a hook shape. My favourite colour is gold but it can look tacky. My door hadle is fading in colour and currently is a dull goldish brown colour that depress even the biggest handle enthusiast.

texture
Velvet and leather were the combination she wore on the first date. Red on black, the softness next to smooth. Neither understanding exactly what this meant nor knowing much meaning behind it I went on stupidly unknowing. It was a missed chance in the end but one I was willing to take. And would again.

stem
to break off from the natural or the plain, to boldly go elsewhere when others wont. to stem is not to separate but advance as a whole.

tray
The tray of drinks toppled on the waiters shoulder. It was inevitable. They were going to come down on someone, and this is the way Christmas Even would end . . . the choice was down to the woman with the up-do, or the man with the tux. The waiter decided on the woman with the up-do. She looked too much like Sarah Palin to be spared. Splash, crash, “aaah! my up-do!”

wallpaper
The wallpaper was so out of date, that it spoke of cigarette commercials and cocktail parties with no worries of designated drivers. It would have to go . . . but there would be something missing from the room once it was scrapped away . . . something of the chemistry of the lives lived there–which had to become in-grained in the paper–would be gone forever . . . and ugly as it was (and was it ever ugly) it would be sad to see it go.

alignment
One wonders what changes the fates of men. It’s not the alignment of the stars, nor their movement, Rita thought. It’s the alignment of something far more ephemeral. Perhaps it’s meeting and be able to love something as crazy as you are–or at least a complimentary amount of crazy. Fate, then, is the alignment of crazy.

sage
Forty years old didn’t seem quite aged enough to be considered “sage,” but she accepted it. The fact was, she’d always secretly known she was a genius–somewhere inside, there was the incling, the clue, that she was graced with something . . . more. She looked out across the multi-colored sea of faces, smiling, self-satisfied, but not smug. “Sage,” would do indeed.

mailbox
Rushing to the mailbox for some sign of somebody giving a shit, she unlocked it, shoved her hand in, and dashed her hopes. Debt. Debt for Christmas and New Years, and not a single holiday card in sight. Fine, Christmas cards aren’t really green, but they can be recycled, and She would spare a tree for some damn affection one a year.

i sent the mailbox to the mailman, or mailwoman, in this day and age. do we have to include mail hemapaphrodites, um, yeah, we better. anyway, the mailbox was there, all pristine an’ proper, waiting to be hit by a full-brawn blow of a person looking to go letterbox baseballing…..

lantern
The lantern hung on the edge of the fence, and from a distance it appeared as though it were a star that had carelessly fallen from the sky, and haphazardly landed on a stick. Jim found himself staring at it, looking–highway hypnotized–at the place he’d be spending the next six weeks. Nothing could be worse…or better.

arrived
I arrived at work today and realized just how dreary the place is. It is a sports store. It’s supposed to be upbeat right? Well it isn’t. I dread going in there every single day. I absolutely loathe arriving in there daily. Law School cannot come quick enough. I’m sick of mediocre part time jobs.

british
I think about British and I don’t think anything at all. Britain does not exist. It is like any other country – just basically colonial and shit. Where do real people come from? I don’t know. I don’t know if I care, either. Never saw the point in feeling proud of countries.

keychain
i have a keychain. as a matter of fact i have multiple keychains. one has my keys for my dorm room and my bicycle lock, another has the keys for my car and house and cabin keys, and a third has randomother keys for other vehicles and such. these keychains arevery useful and keep my pockets not so full.

i used to have the most awesome keychain ever: it was a lego R2D2 keychain. unfortunately, the person i received it from wasn’t my favorite person in the world. i wonder if the fact that i didn’t like the sender made the object any less perfect…

inspired
i left the meeting feeling inspired i never thought i could stand up to every one like it did on that day. i left those doors feeling like a new man, fear dispelling as i left that god forsaken building with a new perspective on life. a changed man

through life we acquire a better sense of who we are through the observation and emulation of others, whether they be celebrities, athletes, activists, universal idols or even those closer to home. my mom is my inspiration to keep living, who is yours?

drops
teardrops falling on my guitar. rain drops. lemon drops. they’re all the same. we need to conserve the water drops falling against the window pane. the world isn’t the same without water. life couldn’t exist without it. and the drops of blood keep us going.

bundle
I found a bundle of socks in the back of my dresser. WHen I tugged on the sucks they refused my grip. They felt solid, like Han Solo when he’s frozen in carbonite. “What the f?” I thought.
