chain

At the bottom of the chasm there lay a spike. Buried deep into the the Earth it held a row of iron links – each connected in series to one another. All but one were cast with the strength of a thousand centuries.

splash

The pool was glistening in the summer sun as it always does, but the same thing still ails me. The world isn’t ready for it, the grand splash of my body into it. The world is my pool, for me to swim within for as long as I please, yet I fear to enter it. There are so many things that could happen. But I feel that it is time, time for my splash.

pastel

soft color that girls usually paint rooms with. they also wear dresses with pastel colors. pastels are usually seen around easter time. i think pastels are nice colors, i would just rather have a much more vibrant color than something so soft and light. pastel yellow is pretty.

swing

The kids were at the park like they usually were, but this time something was different about them. They didn’t have that usual elation that usually was so apparent on their faces and I wondered why. The park seemed the way it always had, but it was missing something. The only thing I noticed was the absence of their favorite swing…

driving

driving gives you that feeling of being in control, heading somewhere, unless you are me. then you just switch off the upstaris ligths and go without thinking of where to go. Instinct kicks in and you avoid death but make it home, rather than your destination. Happens every time.

depth

depth is a reflection of the inevitable bliss that ensues when one decides to let go and fall fears last and heart first into the adventure that is the beautiful heart of God.

shampoo

I hate it when I get shampoo in my throat! It tastes all nasty n stuff and I start to choke on it and it starts to release harmful chemicals in my body. They should put a warning stating to only apply to head, not throat…

I love subway. Their sandwiches make me smile, like an orgasm of the tastebuds. Sometimes I get IBS from eating there, but it don’t matter. I once ate an entire subway train while in New York. They taste better in london…

install

installing is something that all of us take for granted. Could you imagine trying to manually put something on a computer?! Good luck, you would need like ten degrees and knowledge of binary code. Thank god for install wizard, i wonder what other powers he has?

hill

I used to live on a hill. It was really awesome: cool, quiet, calming. Watching the sunset at eye level is one of the warmest feelings ever… and it’s not the feeling of your retinas burning either. That would be bad.

daisy

She was a friend of mine, Daisy. Picking up the days as she left them. A winning combo was being with her and her sister. A winter dawn brought out the light in her eyes and a creak singled out her face.

forge

forge is the name of an x-man with the power to create any machine. forge is also the name of a place where weapons were made in medieval times. i played a song in high school on the clarinet called the forge of vulcan. it was pretty great, i remember liking it quite a bit, even though my part was tricky towards the middle.

certain

In all of life, there is no word which should strike more fear than “certain.” This is a lesson I learned ages ago, when I was just a young soldier. The first casualty of war is the plan, and the only thing that was certain is that things will go wrong. It was a fact of life, and one which we all learned to live with, almost trust in. Cynical, yes. But also alive.

growth

you grow all through your life and learn many things, I have learned that maybe I’m not always right and maybe most of the things I worry about are not that bad and should not be allowed to bother me. I hope that I can learn to enjoy life
