Shoes, bright and shiny black, tapping along the sidewalk. A few scuff marks here and there, but not enough to ruin the beautiful sparkle. Oh how a child loves a new pair of shoes along with a fancy Sunday dress. She wants to dance in the shoes, walk in the shoes, live in the shoes, because they’re black patent. What’s not to love?
