ruby
My grandmothers ruby earrings. My mom gave them to me, and they are the best piece of jewelry I’ve ever owned (or ever will). I wore them only a few times, on super-special occasions, but the last time I didn’t take them off before bed. One slipped off, and I’ve torn that room apart looking for it. It’s been years. Every time I vacuum or move furniture around, I’m secretly hoping to see the glimmer of gold or sparkle of that unmistakable flash of color. I have little hope, and only one earring next to a sad empty space in my jewelry box.

chores
i feel as if my interpretation of chores never matched up to those in my elementary school grades. The things I did around the house seemed as a necessity in order for everything to get done by other family members. And I never got allowance for it either. It just seemed proper.

controller
i think of someone who makes others do what they are supposed to or what he wants them to. some controllers are essential to life, like air traffic controllers, and can make or break others within a split second. others get a thrill when they have power over others and control them. they are unhealthy, and actually have self esteem issues which prevent them from being secure within themselves. they damage others and are sick. i hope i am done with those t

blossom
Blossom is a term given to the flowers of stone fruit trees (genus Prunus) and of some other plants with a similar appearance that flower profusely but for a short period of time in the spring. Blossoms are either pink or white depending on the species or variety. Nectarine blossoms, peach blossoms, most cherry blossoms, and some almond blossoms are usually pink. Plum blossoms, apple blossoms, some cherry blossoms, and most almond blossoms are white.
Blossoms provide pollen to pollinators such as bees, and initiate cross-pollination necessary for the trees to reproduce by producing fruit.
Blossom trees have a tendency to lose their flower petals in wind blown cascades often covering the surrounding ground in petals. This attribute tends to distinguish blossom trees from other flowering trees.

anxiety
Anxiety. That’s something I know quite well at the moment. I only have one day to write a 10min speech. Then I have to write a 1500 word essay and a 1000 word essay by Friday….
But, I’ve only got myself to blame. I’m an awful procrastinator.
