poison
The bitter poison dripped from his lips. His last breath shuttered out of his lungs, before they collapsed in exasperation. His entire body succumbed to shock, all at once. There was no obvious motive.

transport
He wanted a transport chair, the kind he could shove his mother into in the kitchen when he didn’t like the way she was looking at him when he told her he wouldn’t get her new tea bags when the used ones still looked like they had enough left.

missed
I missed a flight because my brother and I were playing football in the airport. Nobody stopped us and we lost track of time. Luckily, no one was hurt.

deer
What is a deer? What is dear, to you and to a deer? The out-of-doors are dear to yu and deer. Dear one, perhaps, are dear to both. Food comes dear for you and the deer that roam my dear woods and across my lawns. They run when I approach but they are often bold as well, staring me down, challenging me to come closer.

I once saw a deer, or rather a family of deer, while driving in Colorado. I was reminded of Bambi, which seems silly. The only thing I can think of when I see a deer is a silly Disney movie I watched once.

Each day he awoke there were thirteen deer, full grown the size of small riding mowers making just as much noise as they nibbled away the grass, that each had thirteen baby deer with them and they would dart away into the backend of the woods when he beat the screens of his windows with a cane.

deers hit cars. its what they do- a right of passage for the woodland barbarians. if they survive their accident, they can go on to adulthood and maybe to full-on leader of the pack.

thread
She came down the road in jeans with ripped threads woven back to place, rough openings showed her knees, scrapped and dirty, and she stuck her thumb up at me.

punishment
A world without punishment will never exist. A world without incentive would be too lazy. They need each other, just like I need them.

near
I want to keep you near. I can never go far without thinking of you; it never gets easier knowing you won’t ever be around again. I want to keep you near, but you’ll always be so far away.

Closer and closer, nearer and nearer. Cindy ran, her lungs aching, her breath ragged, and her heart pounding in her breast. The shaggy beast pursued her, it’s long arms almost dragging through the weeds, a shambling gait of unbelievable speed that somethingsomething.

That feeling of closeness when you’re holding the one you love. The bonds between you strengthen, the emotion deepens, the nearer you get. Locked together in the tightest embrace, you feel like the world could pass you by and nothing would matter because in that moment you are happy.

discovery
There are good discoveries and there are bad discoveries. Its usually pretty obvious which is good and which is bad. To find out that your girlfriend never much cared for you and that she laughed with her friends about your lame hobbies and hygiene habits =OBVIOUSLY BAD.

In a fleeting moment of genius, where the General could only tolerate ideas of a drugged-state and his right hand man was rolled into a ball in the corner of a wheat field, he made his discovery.

elastic
The universe is elastic. Invisible strands of undulating bands, holding everything together. Constant flux, push and pull, backwards and forwards.

brick
a house is built one brick at a time. brick by brick, bird by bird. nothing happens overnight and my head is full of cliches that I need to expunge. BS

canvas
I think of painting and then bags. Canvas can also mean to spread the word, so to speak. I like the word canvas. Sometimes, I’d like to canvas the city with messages of love and tolerance, but then sometimes I’d like to take a blank canvas and paint a really nice picture.

bulb
The bulb of a flower curves with grand succulency. A bee ignores its beauty and goes straight for the pollen.

manager
Even though she was cute, I had to give her that little rush of fear when I asked if her manager was in. Her eyes were spinning around like little whirlpools and I calmed her down by smiling and telling her I was a friend of his.

They told me to manage what I could, but I had no idea what that was. When I was younger I could manage it all, but what now? What do I have control over? I want to manage things and people, but why would they stop and suddenly listen to me? I mean, if someone came and pat me on the shoulder just to tell me to stop doing something, I’m sure I’d say no. It’s in human nature to avoid being managed, yet they want me to take control of what I can.
They can forget it.

She wouldn’t leave me alone.
“Are you coming home?”
Of course I am. Where else will I go? Where else will take me?
“When will you get here?”
Never, hopefully. But I don’t say that. She’s still talking. She never hears me when I speak.
Some day I’ll run away, but I don’t have the courage to do it. I stay, where it’s safe and I hate it.

level
We lived in a three level apartment, but I stood on the fourth staring down on the empty pavement. The sun was just coming up and Nancy didn’t notice me sneaking away from bed. I swear, she never notices anything anymore. She’s not my reason for this though, nor will I allow her to take the credit. Instead, I painted my message in the same yard I’ll be landing in. Weed killer would reveal my deepest secrets in three days and finally the world would know that D.B. Cooper was in fact just regular old Jim Miller.
You took my money, world, but you’ll never take my legacy.

On this level, I had a fun time, working with people and sometimes friends. The levels on Left 4 Dead 2 are quite of variety, filled with fun, many hot spots, and places for solid hits.

boiling
E Coli. They said to boil the water a few minutes, rapid, rolling, singing the bacteria out of the mirk. I couldn’t think straight. I was taking Poland Spring showers with 3 gallon jugs over my head just to be safe. Paranoia led to insomnia. My hands were unclean, unwashed, soap didn’t wash well without hot water.

root
the root of all thoughts, conditioned. So, does this make it your thought? does anything you do, say, really belong to you? you must let peple know your ablility is far beyond what you show!

“If you take a theory, like eternal recurrence for example,” he said. “And you look at it’s root. You can begin to see where the idea changes from its origin into what the thinker wants to make it.” “Ok,” I said. “So, you are fucking your girlfriend’s little sister because of the root of some stupid theory you have?”
