There was a happy dog who lost his shoes. He didn’t mind, even then, he was still happy.

His friend was upset one day, he’d been left by his girl. The happy dog saw him upset and decided to tell him about his shoes and sure enough they both fell about laughing.

A good mood can be infectious.

The national presidential elections are coming up. People go back and forth about whether or not their vote matters. My opinion? I think it doesn’t but you still should vote, if only to express your opinion about philosophy of government. Will your life change depending on who wins office?

I like to think that each breath I take has been handed down to me from the past. Cicero breathed some of that breath once. Three breaths ago was 27% of a breath that Thomas Jefferson once took, mixed with 13% Vincent Valentino and 44% Napoleon the remaining percentage is made up of the breaths of the unknown commoners throughout time. Its heady stuff but extremely tough to measure.

Sometimes, to be alive is a neutral experience. The constant flux between these extremes is what I think it means to be living.

After a night of drinking and inadequate sleep, I’m fried the next day. For the next day after a binge, I am in constant danger of falling asleep standing up, or saying/doing something that seems insane.

Most people’s relationship with their siblings is dysfunctional. I think of my brother as my closest friend, confidant who is bound to me by blood ties until death. Many people can’t stand their brother. This makes me sad.

Salvation. How ironic. The first thing that comes to mind is religion and theism. Then how much of a relief it is that there is no need for supernatural salvation. Saliva.. I just thought of saliva. Anyway, it would be terrible if there were such a thing as a need for salvation from a “sin” committed by a distant ancestor in order to impress a god who set all the rules and outcomes in the first place because of his omniscience.
