desert
The cactus in the desert grew so large and their flowers bloomed in just a couple of weeks. I couldn’t believe the sight when my friend showed me her picture of them after her visiting Egypt.

thunder
Everyone hears the thunder sounding loud and powerful in the night sky. It is not long before the scatter of the rain is beating on the outside floor and on the air conditioners. The thunderstorm has arrived.

sleeve
Snow was piling up outside. There we stood, by the window, watching the children play with the sleds. Suddenly, I felt a chill and pulled down my sleeves.

princess
It was loud and crowded. I was young and obsessed with toys. Through the crowd, I came upon a princess. She was beautiful and unlike any other. She sat between the panda and the monkey.

sneaky
The little girl moved slowly like a snake, slithering into the kitchen. She crawled toward the cookie jar and, without any hesitation or withdrawal, took the jar with all of its contents. The girl continued to sly her way past her mother, who was making a salad while simultaneously speaking on the phone.

return
Thinking about the past, thinking I could return to right my wrongs. There is no return, no way for me to go back in time. I have to move on. Life goes on…

centerpiece
At the center of the dinner table lies the vase of flowers that radiates the room and makes it smell so beautiful. This centerpiece is the stereotypical type that may be presented in many movies.

stable
There is no stability. Everyone is unbalanced and no one is ever truly sure of their actions. Everything is a puzzle and the only way to feel like you solved it is to find your balance and stability and to finally be content with your work after knowing your comfort.

anywhere
To be free. To be able to go anywhere in the world. To be able to see anything, to be anyone. To be somewhere and to be able to do whatever you please. The freedom to get up in the morning in order to go somewhere (anywhere at all) where you want to go and where you would feel most comfortable.

marble
I cleaned the house and came into the kitchen. The marble table is so beautiful; since I polished it, the marble stands out more. I really appreciate my home.

stunning
I casually walked by the clothing store in Soho when I turned my head and saw the stunning dress through the window. I just HAD to have it! I’ve been working for the past summer and I get decent pay. Maybe I could afford it…

rules
My life consists of tons of rules that I have to follow. Rule after rule after rule. I feel as though I’m trapped because so many rules are taking over that I can’t do what I actually want to do. There should be a book of rules that life comes with so that everyone will already know what they initially have to do in order to have time left over for the things that they actually want to do.

flare
It was so sudden. A flare of light passed outside. They didn’t know what it was at first. Still, it was so sudden that they had to see where it had come from. They ran outside and viewed the fireworks. The flare was from the fireworks. Who knew…

left
Where do you go? To the right, where nothing’s left? Or to the left, where nothing is right? I would rather turn to the right because since nothing is left, I could make something of my own that everyone could be attracted to. Then, the right will have something wonderful and whatever is on the left will be all wrong.
