castle
the heat off my reddened face a dragon breathing through the castle ruins of your hairdo that collapsed on top my treasure chest that holds my heart that has pounded my walls my whole life, just, to one day - love you.

dull
my eyes lost shape as this sadness dragged them to the place it was born

warfare
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words are worse, they’re warfare. After seeing how wrong they were their jaws dropped open in an attempt to retreat their remarks back into their mouths, while backup words stuttered out waving a white flag of “i am so sorry”, but the damage was already done to me….you can’t unexplode a bomb.

Today at a protest I met a homeless man who was in the Marines at the time of the Grenada invasion of 1983. He told me when 3 guys in his unit were killed that the plan for the next day was to raid a suspected Cuban / Fidel Castro loyalist part of the island and kill anything that moved, including women and children in retaliation. He detailed how he and two others shot out all the windows in a small house, then at once, threw grenades in each window, killing 2 parents and 6 children and went on to capture women and rape them in front of their husbands before killing them. I studied the Grenada invasion, the things he was saying were very accurate, I don’t think he was lying…his emotions sure suggested he wasn’t kidding.

scout
Scout the skies above the largest cities and you will find they have no stars, erased by the blinding lights of money pursuit that pollutes everything, even the darkness of the Universe.

mystery
still as steps i lowered into nirvana where meaning fled to quick to follow, into the hollows of mystery.

setting
I got kissclose in between the commas of her blink, stopping at the periods of her pupils to peer in, and watched them expand like the setting of night into the shadows of my head that tucked in her beauty before sleep.

morality
He was closest to her heart, closer than the blood that passed through it. With him, her mortality just a dream before the wake of moments that would never die, only fall asleep in the intricate borrows their bodies would make.

He was closest to her heart, closer than the blood that passed through it. So close that mortality fled from the intricate borrows their bodies would make overlapping on the wake of moments that would never die, only fall asleep in the spaces between them.

suppose
In the creek where no trees can grow, the night sky flows through that space unbroken between the crowds of oak and pine, before a chorus of stars lines a floating piano, with cloud, soft keys pressed by the wind, while the waters rush hush us quite to listen I suppose.

edge
poetry rested on the slopes of her collarbones edge, its pages flipping through the wind of her exhale like my fingers through her hair.

I sat where the forest gathers at the shores with its branches bowing over the cliffs in prayer to the wind that carries my unheard echos of i’m sorry and forgive me over the waves were i drop my letters to you that no one will ever read, watching them slowly sink and drown as i did.

braid
Through the passing of years all things fall apart. I always braided footpaths with the loosening ends of our memories that fray into fields of tall grass that cover over the ruin grounds of our love, where shattered heartifacts lay, stabbing the ground of my past.

Falling l e a ves braid through the wind, weaving around one another, trying to tie the air in a complex knot.

romantic
As Scott looks toward the bright earth suspended above their horizon, he is aware of a gentle reflected light that outlines their figures. The broad Atlantic Ocean is stippled by light patches, these must be large areas covered by clouds. Could that tiny white dot above the earth be the space research satellite? It’s hard to tell. But the backlighting on Hella’s breast that stops just above the nipple is beautiful.

half
half and half creamer. half black and white, just like me. only halfway sure of myself. halfway wanting him, but halfway knowing that it will never. How he smeels like soap. how he never talks to me. how i literally just ate everything in my kitchen because im such a fatass. how im jusst nit sure about anything. ho i halfway just want my parents to get a divorce and be done with it, and then the selfish part of it that wants to just stay here in this limbo where everyone hates eachother buut we somehow manage tp dwell in this same hell house. but ill stay here for three more years if i can, i dont want to move, illl take misery at home for hapiness everywhere else. or almost happiness, theres always the stuff at the back of my mind.

Far in beyond the good half or the bad half of our forests thick is a clearing, a silent space at our center… I will wait for you - there.
