barber

The woman could have been a bloody barber, the way she hacked at the cloth. Eleanor Waldorf couldn’t believe how highly recommended this woman had come, as an intern – she didn’t even know how to do an overstitch!

outlet

God, outlets make me think of the consumerist nature of today’s society. Sickening. The thought that you can get something at half the price sheerly because it’s not in fashion anymore is absolutely insane. Just makes you think of how much money they make when you buy it at full price!

Maybe we should all just go on strike and go back to the farmer-style life where you grow your own vegetables and have to milk a cow =]

cards

When he opened the card he couldn’t quite believe what was happening. I never get cards on Valentine’s Day, he thought to himself, I’m the geek in the corner, who enjoys maths and laughs at jokes about tetris… Nevertheless, this was a bona fide Valentine. Even signed by an ‘anonymous’.

Maybe he should take his nose out of his favourite physics book a little more often than he liked.

invent

This thing that she had invented… what had she done? It wasn’t as much an invention as a monster, a hash job of other people’s creations. It was a monstrosity. Crude, and ugly. She was revolted at herself. How can a good person give life to such an ugly thing?

tangle

Tangle makes me think of tangled! Which I haven’t seen yet, but will on Sunday. I love Disney films. Whilst they definitely give out a biased view of the world (which isn’t great for kids, as they do genuinely grow up believing that people live happily ever after), it’s also nice to have some films on the market that are generally just happy.

All the time. And with catchy songs playing too =]

chocolate

Chocolate was a lovely, scrummy word! Chocolates are generally such a nice thing, however addiction to them is (no kidding) actually really difficult to deal with. I used to be addicted. I had to eat about 4/5 a day, or I would just be craving them and in a major dump all the time. It meant I got migraines all the time, and my moods were all over the place as I was on a sugar rush and then on a sugar low.

Bad times!

charge

charge makes me think of electricity. sparks and fuses and lightning bolts! how exciting is the word ‘charge’. to be full of energy and rushing towards your purpose, your raison d’etre, nothing could be more fulfilling, adrenaline pumping or worthwhile.

needle

Needles are great. I do not have a fear of needles. Unfortunately, my body still doesn’t respond too well to having them jabbed into me. I fainted upon all 3 occasions that I went to give blood, and I would love to give bone marrow someday, but something tells me this might be a bit of a pipe dream.

revolt

revolt would usually be associated i think with the word disgust, but personally i find the meaning associated to politics much more interesting. the idea of the people revolting against the system is very very interesting, especially as it is such a rare thing for people to do these days.

these days people just seem very complacent, and open to leaving things as they are, because they don’t want to upset anybody??

coward

cowardice is perceived to be one of the flaws of being a human, it’s something you don’t want to be associated with you and one of the worst things a lot of people can imagine being called. But I think it’s hardwired into everybody, and it’s not about not being a coward, it’s about how you deal with your cowardice that matters. Everybody is the same at the end of the day – it’s what you do with what you’ve been given that counts.

reports

i feel like I’m having to write a report writing about the word report. It’s quite a school type word, isn’t it? Makes you think of essays and assignments, coursework, or political shenanigans. Reports make me think of geography, having to write up all of your findings after you’ve completed a test or some sort of field study. Geography and fields and flowers and people yay!

weeks

The weeks fly by so fast here. I have no perception of time. It may be because I’m having so much fun. Everything is blurred. Or it may be because I’m smoking too much weed.

commit

i’m afraid of commitment. it scares me. what happens if i change my mind? i dont want to hurt anyone else because of my own change of heart. What if i don’t know what i, myself, wants?

sandwich

I can’t eat sandwiches anymore. They taunt me with their normality, and my inability to be like everyone else. It isn’t even a matter of Wonder Bread versus whole wheat. It’s a matter of not dying in intestinal agony, and yet I’m ashamed of it. Why is this? Why do I feel bad about something I can’t physically change? I suppose it’s like feeling guilty for being born who you were instead of someone else.

Crystaline wonders allow the connection to be complete. I now realize I am in a most perfect lucid dream; she is here. Now I can see.

suspend

To hang from a high place. The overalls were suspended over the edge of the clift, and MaryJane could only look on in horror as they flew gently in the wind. One good breeze and all would be lost. Grandmothers overalls , lost to the sea older than her far below. A rather fitting tribute.

path

there is somewhere to go from there. there are places to go. the path is the way to go. but what about the area around the path, like when a painted tells you to draw the area around the vase when you can’t draw the actual vase. speak for me, we see the same signs, do you know how to read between lines? the word path reminds me of JRR Tolkien, except he prefers the word road so I guess that isn’t completely making sense. This sentence doesnt make sense. I wish i had some sort of path I wish I had any idea what I want to do or what I need to do, or what I’m supposed too do. I guess it would defeat the purpose of life, it would be a lot less fun. I wish Aaron wasn’t leaving, I can see that our paths only intersect for a short period of time because he’s leaving for cali or cinci or wherever it is that he decides to go.

village

Village. A game played in theater class. well, villages. we pretend to be a key part of an ancient village, but we can only speak in gibberish. we establish ourselves one by one… sometimes you’re the priest, sometimes you’re the crazy homeless man.

soothe

sootheing is what we can do to friends in need. I think the word “soothe” reminds me of blankets, or smoothies because they both share the double “o”. I think someimes I need more soothing than I get from my boyfriend, since i’m always soothing him and never get much in return. i am soothed by sunsets or by music, usually stuff like Bobby Mcferrin or take that because the jumpy tune relaxes me.

keychain

I have a great many keychains, all with stories behind them. I have a great big loop that my father gave me with a whistle attached for my protection. It’s one of the few things he ever gave me that would keep me safe. It was always difficult for him to connect to anyone. In my family, my mother was the one that we needed protection from.
