She perfected her outfit for the first day of kindergarten. Well, perfected other than her lost yellow bow. Now what was she to do? Wear the green bow and not match or not wear a bow and risk humiliation.

honest

Something that I truly value in a person. Being honest is something that we need in life because if the whole world lied than we could not have a country. Honesty is the best policy! Although I’m not always honest, I try my best to be.

y is difficult for me. its not always the best policy. it can hurt feelings. it can protect my own feelings. its an easy way out. its a hard way out. its a beautiful thing. it is a cruel thing. honesty is something i strive towards but rarely succeed in being.

wade

It was a cool summer night filled with fireflies in the sky. I kicked off my cowboy boots and peeled off my socks and stepped into the spring. I waded up to my knees and felt the cool sting of the water on my sore feet

Okay. He’ll admit it. He had a crush on the hottest girl in school. In fact, as he like to describe her, she’s supermegafoxyawesomehot. And what was he going to do about it? Nothing. Cause everyone knows that you never tell a girl that you like them cause it makes you look like an idiot.

morals

Society’s expectations and desires from you. I think they are necessary to keep this world at least a little in line, but they are so vague and sometimes ambiguous it can be hard to tell right from wrong.

To have morals is to have dignity. Self respect. It takes courage and understanding to have morals. Morals are hard. Morals are the right thing. They are often vague, and sometimes it’s hard to see the clear answer. Grey areas. Morals are what everyone should have, but doesnt.

failed

Did this really happen?, she thought. But…

Shelley hadn’t failed in her life. Until now. The “34″ was like a slash on her unmarred skin, bleeding into her eyes and burning into her mind. She couldn’t help thinking, I am so dead. Her mother, she knew, was going to kill her.

history

history is cool. history is the reason we are here as human beings. although, history could mean something else. Like, “I have history with this person.” Simply meaning you had a past with someone else, like an ex-lover. History is a cool word I guess, history is the reason we live and love.

Posted By elizabeth On 06.24.2011 @ 1:23 am

History. It’s what happened in the past and what’s happening every day. History never ends, because it’s always going to be happening. History is boring to me. History shows other people’s mistakes. History doesn’t forgive and it doesn’t forget. It helps you remember, good or bad. History can be interesting. History is what makes us who we are today.

Posted By Elizabeth On 06.23.2011 @ 9:22 pm

history is what keeps us going, learning, its our past present and future. history comprises our memory, without which we would be incapable of learning and loving, which would keep us from living. history is necessary, imperative to survival to life.

intense

The wait, oh god the wait. 5 minutes, 4 minutes, 3 minutes. . . . I quietly counted down along with the countdown clock surrounded by owls. It was starting to get intense. What could it be? What’s going to happen after the countdown hits zero?

wonder

she wonders at the way his eyes sparkle in the sun’s rays, how the light seems to dance off of them in the same fashion it would off a glimmering pool. how his hair seems almost golden in the rays, and how he looks at her so affectionately

smile

Well, it was the beginning of something. A little smile, a spark. It was interesting to see what amazing sights can do to someone. When we arrived in Paris, it was raining and cold, my girlfriend and I where miserable. But after dinner at a nice restaurant and watching the Eiffel Tower light up the sky, we began to smile.

Posted By Elizabeth On 06.17.2011 @ 8:57 am

there was this guy washing my hair one time, and his smile was upside down. it was the strangest thing looking up at him. I wondered what it would be like to exist in a world where people looked so odd. A smile looking like a frown, with the effusiveness of excited conversation chattering out his mouth.

There’s this musical called “Smile” about these beauty queens in the sixties. It was a massive flop, but it produced this absolutely beautiful song called “Disneyland,” which is what I sang at my GSA audition and various other places. I really like it, but i think it’s just so funny that such a pretty song came from such a terrible musical. I think that’s really poetic.

Once again, it was September and Kings Cross was packed. Not just with the regular crowd, but with teenagers and pre-teens, some asking where they can find Platform 9 3/4. The newbies eventually find their way and start their first leg of adventure, just by stepping onto the Hogwarts Express.
