I use to work on signals in the traffic department of my hometown. I am a poor writer as all I can think of them is that they are important but not so great to write about in a minute. Pretty bland, right?

The lion laying with the lamb as a sign of peace seems awfully silly to me. To my mind, it is more important that we realize the value of the lamb and realize we need not be a lion anymore, that the lamb may be our friend if not his.

My life feels this way, stalled, if I understand the meaning of this word correctly. I feel delayed and less than because I am. I have accomplished a lot, but never enough compared to others, and so I am stalled. Why? I do a lot, I am good.

Oh, yeah. That’s it! Why you always do this? It drives me crazy! You are the only one who’s ever done this. When you are near the edge, it seems everything is hyper-real, like the art that people do that is so detailed it’s more detailed than a photograph…that’s how you know the difference. I am going to school everyday so that I may one day acquire a “civilized” life. I hope to not only civilize myself but also one day my children, grandchildren, and whoever the hell else I encounter depending upon how long I live. If I am not civil I will influence far less people.

this was the day my dad took us out to get candy in the morning–it was the best part of the day. We all pretended we were happy when dad wasn’t at work but it was usually grim. After candy came the clean up the anger and the thrashing around we looked forward to Monday
