drain
the way i feel at the end of the day, after driving an hour to school, sitting in school for 8 hours, driving and hour home then coming home, doing homework and cooking dinner. i wonder how the hell im going to make it on my own if im already draining my body. but im excited for the future.and excited to start the rest of my life. i would let the drainy feeling stop me!

Drains can pretty pretty useful. people don’t really think much about what they put down the drain, but something that should really go down the drain are yours problems. Get them out of your mind and down the drain and dont let them drag you down.

Thorn smiled softly as she listened to the blood run down the drain with a quiet satisfaction.

edition
Thade ran a gentle finger down the spine of a thick red book with a calm that no one ever saw him have. He pulled it out and caressed the cover like a child before opening the hardback to reveal that the pages had also been stripped of its ink.

wake
I am awake but I am not sure I want to be here. Sometimes I wish that being alive meant you did not have to be awake to live it. Dreams would be better if they were reality.

waking up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise and the promise of a new day is always a blessing and never a guarantee, so don’t take it for granted that you will wake up and never give up on your dreams when you do wake up from them. even waking up to a rainstorm is a beautiful promise because you know the rain is nourishing.

Thorn’s fingers slipped down the wall, feeling the blotches of red still warm from her kill. That grin crept onto her lips as she relished in the memory of the madness that had over taken her. She lived for it. The thrill, the sudden release of all her anger and hatred. It was…. calming.

support
Slowly, he added another cup of sand. I held my breath and double checked that my fingers and toes were crossed. I’d cross my eyes if necessary. The bridge held as the little red bucket swung below it. The thirty second time frame passed and another cup of sand was added. I smiled. This officially meant that my bridge could support the most weight. Billy was not so happy.

perfectly
I pulled the monstrosity of lace and tulle over my head. It felt as if I were crawling through a rainforest. I hated it, even before it fell to my toes. As the young woman from the boutique laced me up, my future mother-in-law beamed. I smiled back knowing this would never be THE dress. I would come back when she couldn’t be with me and then, I’d find the dress that fit my dreams perfectly.

Thorn touched the opening gently, red liquid gushing from the boy’s brain across her fingers. She felt along the skull with a morbid tranquility, the same face Thade had seen musicians made when they were taken by their own art.

fiction
They said it couldn’t be true, but I knew that truth was often stranger than fiction. So when Jordan popped up in town after a 23 year absence, during which time every one decided he had died in some distant rain forest or run off with some rich man’s wife and would be hiding for the rest of his life, I felt vindicated.

phrase
Phrase is something that means something to someone. ha ha! that’s dumb. But a phrase can be powerful, like “i love you” or it can be demeaning “you’re stupid” or it can be indifferent “whatever”. Phrases aren’t just short, some are long and usually are taken from movies or from people like the dali lama.

“So says the kettle.” Thade laughed, poking his sisters’ ribs. Thorn hissed and kicked him. “I’ve never understood that phrase…. why would a pot call the kettle black?” She pouted for a moment before punching her brother. “Stop grinning, you fool.”

Phrase makes me think of Wheel of Fortune.. the phrase being something you win money for–something that you WIN for guessing. Then there’s catch phrase–something God threw in a fun party and someone enthusiastic about playing that game. Hey, I know you like games–here’s someone who could encourage you.

“You know, there are better ways to phrase it!?” she said as she shied away from him.
“What do you mean?” There was no alarm in his voice. No teasing or mocking, but Ella knew Eric was bothered by what she had said. She had stopped him in his tracks.
“I mean… well, you could just be more romantic or even passionate about it. “Come on baby, let’s go to the bedroom” was cute the first and second time, but not anymore.”
Ella finished, the weight of the statement off her conscious and the knew awkwardness settling on it.

notice
When I see the word notice I think of evictions that happen on doorsteps when you’re trying to make it right but you see that you’ve not done it right. Also people who are trying to be NOTICED, but can’t seem to even notice that they’ve already won the attention of the ONE true one who made them. Notice makes me notice and when I concentrate hard on this word it brings up pain.

He hoped his father wouldn’t notice. Still, Alex didn’t want to take any unnecessary chances so he slipped quietly into the room and sat on the couch pulling the large popcorn bucket in front of him. His father stood in the corner, his eyes glued to the TV, screaming obscenities and praises as he felt appropriate. Twenty-one football minutes later, half-time arrived. Alex put the popcorn bucket down and stood up. “What the hell are you wearing?” his father bellowed. Alex looked down, momentarily confused until he saw the green and yellow logo brazened across his chest. Oops!

library
Thorn scoffed and kicked at a shelf and books piled off it to her feet. Thade frowned. “Thorn, please–” His words were cut off as his sister took a piece of wood and slammed it into a shelf, tumbling the entire collection of books to the floor. “THORN THIS IS A LIBRARY!” He screamed, tears forming.

Quite time, place of peace, friends, solace, books, and words. Chairs and ceilings, beatiful sky, storms, place of refuge, work and play.

Thorn grinned, the manical gesutre threatening to split her head apart. “What?” Thade blushed, and stamped his foot, pulling Ja’k closer. “I love him. And I want you to stop hurting him” His face was serious, but of course lost on his sister. Ja’k chuckled. “I told you she wouldn’t lis–” “Okay.” Ja’k trailed off, dumbfounded.

wishing
Thorn scoffed and punched Thade, scowling at her brother the violent leader kicked him as well. “Wishing will get you no where. Stop being soft.” Thade looked up at her, his sad smile lost on her shadowed vision. “But it’s all I have left.” The sadness was clear in his voice and Thorn seemed to hesitate. For an instant, Thade felt Ragni, felt the innocence, then it pulled away as the monster scratched at him.”Fool.”

I spent the day wishing. Wishing for something better than the hand life had dealt me. Something that would replace the mismatched and skipped numbers that I seemed to get caught on at every turn. I sighed deeply, holding on to the only Ace I’d ever had as tightly as I could. Still, it was slipping out. Falling away from me. Being pulled out by the person who had dealt as if it was a mistake. The cards not stacked quite right against me.

tarnished
Brushing the dirt from her suit and tossing her hair, Susana lifter her held high and marched down the expansive stairs in front of the building. Her body was hard, filled with righteous anger. Her face was set, a fire burning bright in her eyes. No one who passed her would have guessed that her reputation had been tarnished moments before.

mythology
Thade lofted a brow, curious to the person before him. “You don’t believe in the gods?” He asked softly, the man scoffed. “Please, that’s like asking if I believe in magic.” Thade smiled. “Well, do you?” The man laughed and shook his head. “I pity the man who believes in Gods.” Thade’s expression dropped into serious intensity. “I pity the man who doesn’t.”

alter
The rainbow girl stepped softly over the debris towards the once colorful alter of Joy. A tear slipped down her cheek as she looked around at the broken pieces of a once beautiful religion, of a once powerful building that would lift hearts and help smiles. But of course, the gods had abandoned the people, and this was no more than a big building to them.
