Pairs of pants. Why do pants come in pairs? And why are they so damn difficult to find when you need new ones? Other pairs exist. Pairs of underwear. That is also a weird use of the word pair. Some good things come in pairs, though.

Lines, Vines, & Trying Times. I remember listening to that. Vines tangle you and choke you, make you bleed with their thorns. Vines of grapes to make sweet wine. Drink it; you’ll feel better.

Corry is a city. It’s probably the best city there is. It’s small, but not too small. And it’s large enough that you can still find places to get lost in. Sure you might know almost everything that goes on, and everyone…but there are still hidden gems there. And those gems are what makes everything worth while. And if you have to leave..that’s probably what will hit you the hardest. You’ll miss it. That city became your home.

I grew up in two cities. They both used to mean something to be, but now I feel like neither matters. I now live in a third city, and it feels like that’s my home now.

plants grow every day like humans do. when they are growing it means they are getting exactly what they need to thrive. sunlight, the healthy soil that surrounds their roots, fresh air, water. Water. Water is really such a key element to the growth of humans too. We are mostly water, after all! When we grow it is a sign that we are healthy. And that we are giving our bodies what they need.

i think alot about traveling the world and helping other communties. I think about seeing all the beauty this world has to offer and the wonder and mysteries that lie withing. I wonder why we can be so cruel to each other when it is also in our nature to be kind and caring. Why these feelings are overpowered by greed.

Sometimes you can post on a Facebook wall. We used to only think of walls as the structures that surrounded us in a home. Now, you have to pay attention to context to understand what someone means when they say something like, “Did you see what he put on my wall?” Or, “What should I paint my walls?”

a strange visitor from outerspace arrives to destroy the earth. these visitors are not welcome here. sometimes a visitor comes to your house to bring cookies and cinnamon rolls. some bring diseases. aliens come for war, to destroy our tiny planet and claim it as their own. they do not know how to make cinnamon rolls.

A battlefield. But the battle has already been announced and raged and left the ground bloody and full of bodies. You stare at the carnage but it doesn’t matter how long you look it’s impossible to take it all in. Totally impossible. You wish that you could unsee it and yet at the same time you can’t turn away you can’t stop trying to process it, trying to make it enter your head in a way that you can feel something about it, feel… anything about it. It might have been easier to feel something if you had actually been on one side or the other. However you think the war is a waste, meaningless. It might have some political reason but really it was just a reason to make the countries armies not look at rest. Not look like a complete waste of money. Finally you turn away but the image stays in your head. It will be months before you can go longer than a day without thinking about it. You will never be able to forget the scene, you will always be able to see every detail of the bloody scene. (re-submitted because I just made the account and wanted to link it to it)

My mother always told me to sweep under my bed. As a lazy teenager looking for the quick route out of everything, I took this to mean “sweep all the clutter from the rest of the floor under the bed.” And then one day a strange smell came…. not a bad smell, kind of like… chocolate chip cookies, freshly baked. From under my bed. So, I poked my head under…. and was never seen by my mother, or anyone, ever again.

When you live in South Dakota, soil is one of the most important things. Everyone’s a farmer, and if not you are best friends with a farmer, or are related to one. This Year we went through a drought, so the soil was bad and the crops didnt grow! Good soil is very important.

There are four seasons in a year. Seasoning is used in food to provide flavor. Season also refers to the time frame of the year in which various sports are played, or foodstufts grown. It has six letters. It’s funny because if you space it out, into sea and son, you think of a sailor, not a time frame or flavoring.

I am determined to be successful. Determination comes from within. It starts when you’re young and based off of your ideas and learned behavior develops over time. Not many people are determined. A lot of my friends are lazy but with a little determination could go really far. I hope some day that determination exists in everyone and stays with me. It is easy to slip away.
