Wandering through the streets of this remote northern town in the middle of winter is a dismal experience. The dirty piles of rotting snow that line the streets may be hiding tender green shoots of grass waiting to emerge at the first bit of coaxing, and brightly-colored flowers that may be anxious to erupt and sway in gentle summer breezes, but for now it’s a cold and dreary scene. I shiver in the grey light of dawn as I kill time waiting for the Greyhound bus to rescue me from this desolation and whisk me away to bpthe bright lights of the city where it’s so much easier to hide.Posted By Jamie On 03.15.2011 @ 6:35 am
Magic flows from wands as surely as it does from the hands of wizards. Wands are the essential prop for all good fairie godmothers and magicians. Harry Potter requires a wand to channel his un-muggle-ish powers as does Merlin and all the great wizards of old. Without the wand, the wizard is defenseless, reduced to a brittle empty shell of ordinariness. The power is in the prop. I need a wand to conquer the day and will carry it with me, invisible to the world. It will me my private “force” and wll give me strength, my private magic, my wand.Posted By Jamie On 03.14.2011 @ 6:33 am
Obsession is the name of a perfume.. I’ve been curious about why someone would want to be obsessed since it’s a dark emotion that seems to ascend upon a person without conscious thought. And it’s unwelcome – it consumes you body and soul. Logic takes a back seat and emotion rules. It’t a wild ride an out of control ride with no end in sight exhausting and debilitation, perhaps exhilarating and rewarding, crazy, scary and impossible to control.Posted By Jamie On 03.13.2011 @ 10:40 am
example always makes me think of statistics. in problems, it’s always us doing an example of the formula we just learned. this also makes me think of my very hot, very sexy stats professor. oh the things i would do to that man. i wish he wasn’t married, but i will still shamelessly flirt with him.Posted By jamie On 03.06.2011 @ 9:18 am

Keychains are pretty awesome. They come in all different shapes and sizes, and are really adorable because some of them can be in shapes of chocolate bars, chickens, fish, and a camera. This is coming from experience – my flatmate collects different keychains and she has all these cute little things. I love it. I don’t really have any keychains but I might try collecting them! Awesome :)Posted By Jamie On 02.27.2011 @ 8:51 pm

I invent as I go, words are mere vehicles of invention. To create today is to have immortality tomorrow. To create that which did not exist, that has not been, because you are driven to expand your own self is what makes humans different from all other species. I invent therefor I am. I exist to invent, write, draw, make better.. otherwise I am a worthless lump wasting space on this planet!Posted By Jamie On 02.18.2011 @ 2:06 pm
Wow. Chocolate and I have a love-hate relationship right now. Because I’m dieting, see, and I can’t eat it as frequently as my heart desires. More importantly, I cannot afford to buy good chocolate. Oh, the joys of being a college student. Someday, I’ll just get fat and eat as much chocolate as I want. <3Posted By Jamie On 02.15.2011 @ 7:18 pm
(I should be studying, and I shouldn’t be on oneword)
Microphone made me think of a song I use to love by Utada Hikaru, and it was “easy breezy”. Good song, good times. I always wish I could be so comfortable as to sing into a microphone; it’s one of my greatest fears. I’d rather do that, though, than have to dance around on stage.
Oh – I just remembered. I have done all of those things. I must have forgotten them on purpose or something…Score one for me.Posted By Jamie On 02.13.2011 @ 1:07 pm
Family Catastrophe It was years ago Fourth or fifth grade, perhaps
Sister went to grandparents. Bipolar grandmother gave a hateful, spiteful call to my mother Mother cried, Father yelled into the phone.
Cops came, Father was arrested, Cops said our grandparents made a claim that he threatened their lives. I, an 11 year old girl, was interviewed by a cop. I was scared of what to say, because I didn’t want father to be taken away.
But, I saw as he was asked to step outside. He did so, gave a friendly “How ya doin’”, and was asked to put his hands in the air. My mom pulled me away from the window.
My mom and I cried on my bed harder than we ever have before. She said, “Grandma and grandpa want to take you They want to take all of my children. This might be goodbye.”
Mom and dad weren’t bad people. They didn’t do drugs, and they paid the bills. Yet I might be taken away from them. At that time, it seemed like it.
Since then, nothing’s been the same.Posted By Jamie On 01.26.2011 @ 5:36 pm
The other-worldly glow of the flickering flame cast a soft ambience upon my person; I relished the warmth of it’s tongue as it swept over me, from my loins to my breast. Naked and bespectacled by this new sensation, I lay there and took comfort in this new high.Posted By Jamie On 01.23.2011 @ 1:43 am
Oh, Ron is afraid of spiders. I’m not really; sure, they are a little gross looking, but I’d rather deal with spiders than rats.
I just always think of Harry Potter, and poor ol’ Ron Weasley. He really must hate spiders if that’s what he sees when there is a boggart.Posted By Jamie On 01.20.2011 @ 5:22 am
