It sits in my throat like a bunch of pills hard to swallow and hard to feel something to make me feel better makes me choke

He came in autumn he left in winter He’ll return in spring Summer he will be gone for good
I long for summer’s warmth when he is gone for good and I am no longer cold winter is ending and summer is not far

wake
I often sleep to forget things I sleep to dream of a better life I dread the morning but I know it will come I open my eyes in terror
but when I wake it’s not so bad I see the sky and the birds I see a face next me and I’m glad maybe waking shouldn’t be such a terror
