morals
I used to think I’d keep my moral compass when I got older but the more I learnt the less moral I became. I think naivety has something to do with it.

antlers
I was sitting on a rock that was on the edge of my camp site, drinking a cup of tea I had warmed over the fire, but that wasn’t very good. I had gotten it from some hippie on the way there, he also had some weird Moose antlers that he had painted to look like a very awkward mustache. ‘He’s crazy’ was all I could think, but then in the back of my mind was also the image of an antler-less moose.

failed
I failed today. I didn’t know that I was being tested, so I couldn’t do anything to improve what I was doing. I guess I deserve it, though, I haven’t been very trusting of him either, so for him to test my loyalty isn’t anything but fair.

He failed. I thought he was going to do so well, he had practiced so hard and had all of his timing right, but apparently he just ‘wasn’t what they were looking for’. What they really wanted to say was that he just failed the test. I knew that he wasn’t the best but I thought that they could make him better. I was wrong.

I’m desperately trying to not fail at life. All I want is to make my life mean something, and the thought of failing is horrifying. Failing at anything, is horrifying… Except maybe a biology quiz, I can excuse myself from that.

smile
You stare at her, from the crown of her head where the brown-brown locks falls over her features, to the red tint of her blush and all the way down to her modest smile as she shyly greets you. As your eyes finally centers onto her blue-blue eyes, you can’t help but smile right back.

plaid
The noise in the street filled the air. The drums and bagpipes was all anyone can hear. The parade went for miles and it felt like it never stopped. Everyone wore something plaid in honor of the country. Ireland, we love you.

limo
every time i see one, i think that maybe there is a famous person inside. like, liam hemsworth or garrett hedlund has come to proclaim their love for me, even though they don’t even know that i exist. and then i think of dumb and dumber. and then i think of prom, one of the funnest nights of my life. we took a party bus, not a limo, but it was still incredible and just… the best.

booth
The big booths at Rosie’s Diner are the best places to hang out after a drunken night on the town in Kent, Ohio. I remember many a night sitting there, with good people and terrible food, recounting the events of the last few hours. Boy, oh boy. I’m going to miss Luke being there for that every single time. Because I know that next year, he won’t always be there. Also, I’ve always wanted to work a kissing booth. Don’t tell my boyfriend, or anything.

birth
this is the beginning. no matter where or when it happens it is the point where you can leave everything else behind and just start over. everything is forgotten. it doesnt matter what mistakes have already been made because there lies a whole new path for you to start making mistakes on.

When my brother was born my life changed forever. I don’t think it was abad forever. I really appreciate everything that he has brought into my life. I love him and I can’t imagine life with out him. Living as an only child is really a big downer. I love having siblings to make it better now.

deadbolt
locked into place, keeping me down. a cold metal part of my infrastructure. sturdy and binding, necessary but bulky. linked deep inside.

trailer
Mr. Sideburns had a weird relationship with this trailer. Every morning he’d hug it when he woke up. He’d kiss it every night before he went to bed. All the other rednecks in the park thought he was a strange fellow, but Mr. Sideburns didn’t care. He had his trailer. That was all that mattered.

gasoline
They burn everything down, family, friends, neighbors, anything that might trace back to you. It’s not right, but it’s never about morality, it’s about getting the work done. When you meet his eyes, there’s a subtle flicker of regret. Amber eyes reflecting the fire that eats away at your life and loved ones. Until it’s only ashes and dry spots of gasoline that pave the floor.

purpose
Reason. Fate. Destiny. adventure. Violence. Happy endings. Goals. Purposeful. Awakening. Running. Team. Determination. Running against the grain. Fighting the world. Holding earth on your shoulders.

audience
They all watch, eyes filled with scarring anticipation. Your hands sweat the more they stare, and when the lights flicker on and red curtains draw, you don’t know what to do anymore. Hours of memorisation and perfected actions no longer recall, and when the cue to start alarms, you choke. Your eyes stray from the silhouetted faces, and then a breathe. She’s looking at you too, waiting for you to start the secluded dance of clever words and familiar wit. Finally you comphrend, it’s not the audience that you want to impress, it never was. The music starts and you catch her smile from the corner of your eyes.

shape
Her heart is shaped with thorns and needles. She tosses eruptive tantrums. And her favorite color is red because she says it expresses her rage against the world. Despite all this, I like the way her hand feel like they were shaped for mine

I don’t quite know what to write, all I think about when I hear the word shape is geometry class. God, I hated that class. I just can’t wrap my head around the idea that lines go on forever and that points have no shape and size. I hated right triangles, angles and pi.

heels
Heels are the most ridiculous things in the world. They look SO freaking adorable sometimes and in reality they just hurt like a bitch. Why can’t they be as comfortable as sneakers? Seriously.

obsessed
You like the color yellow and you can’t stand the fact that I don’t. I like my spoons on my right and I hate it when you set it on my left. We like to fight with each other because we do it a lot and they seem to be over nothing, thankfully we are completely obsessed with each other

statement
She wears nose rings the size of onion rings and clothes with no logos, she stays upate working on slogans like “I’d rather be naked than wear fur,” and she absolutely hates meat. She gets in trouble with the teachers cause she cuss and shout when she has an opinion, but it’s not profanity that she promotes but the cruelty that society is blind to when it comes to certain rights. Its simple but difficult to watch, its bold and may cost her normalacy points but at least it gets her statement across. And she smiles.

bee
I like to pretend to hate you, I buzz around your side annoying you with crude cat-calls. And when I feel like you’re getting too close I leave angry red marks as revenge. I can’t help it, your sweet perfume would drive any person mad, so please know that it’s no longer out of will when I make a bee-line towards you every morning.

Bees flying high in the sky above us all laughing at us useless creatures down below. They say “Oh look at those foolish humans; they think they have it made wit their fancy technology and their anarchy. Oh how silly” You would never stand laugh at a bee, but there they are, laughing silently at us. Oh, how they mock us. As they buzz and buzz along doing their rightful jobs in their society of happiness and work. They fly and buzz and drone on and on, blissfully unaware that maybe there is more than a bee life. Maybe they would like to have legs or paws or be able to crawl around in the night. Maybe they would love to be stealthy and wise and human. Maybe they would enjoy stabbing others in the back and regretting a life full of choices and revolting against the stigmas of society. Yes, maybe there is something they are missing. Oh, those bees – they think they have it made.

swept
Being swept away by love is something awesome. But being swept under the rug isn’t fun. If there’s one thing that I’d have to say disappoints me the most, it’s being forgotten about. Because seriously, I’m not worth thought? Thanks, dude.

example
You’re suppose to set an example, because you are an impressionable young man a d you should tell kids to stay in school and not to drugs. Except the truth is you skipped a few classes here and there; you even smoked for a short period, so you really should not be the one st di g up here on this poldeum I your suit pretending you know better because let’s be honest, you are an example of all those bad things and how one can still be successful in the end. So the morale? Be who you are and maybe, whether or not you really truly do qualify, you could be the example that leaves an impression on some kid or person…you laugh.

When one takes this literally, one will forever plunge into an abyss of stupidity. Yes, stupidity.
Take, for example, me. I can’t take all that crap with bullying, so i try to fight it. And just look like an idiot.

My parents always told me to be an example for my sister. For my brothers too, but mostly for my sister. Because she needed an example. And I think I succeeded, regardless of the fact that she did have a wayward summer. I love my sister more than anything, and I’m so happy she got back on track.
