stories
you hear something from one person that they’ve heard from someone else. they come and go, but oh how very nice they are. to hear about a fantasy when all you are in is reality. but in the end we’re all just stories. thats all thats left of us

clasp
a ard day and rough night. it pills up quicker than you think. coming home to a room decorated with dirt and a layer of dust resting on everything. theres a scent of dampness in the air. the creepy smell of dampness. you fall and clasp on the bed with the thought of repeating this tomorrow

café
i would love to be sitting down, reading my book on a breezy warm day with the sun on my pages. sipping a cup of iced tea and nibbing- like i always do- on a biscuit.

geometric
my mind blanks out when i try to think. it just stops and i stay still. i feel like being neutral is something i naturally do. no emotions no feelings just straight line of parallel thoughts that never collide.

anchor
i was doing just fine. carrying on with my daily life with all the things and people around me. just fine. but ever now and then it always yanks me back down. might it be an emotional break down or just a bad day. it always comes back though, and the thing that i fear the most of is that i feel it will always be there. hidden, just waiting to pull me to my weakest again.

listening
The most beautiful sense. The most delightful and delicate. it sounds of just closing your eyes and blocking the world outside. listening to the sounds of waves and the way they crash on rocks and oh so lightly onto your face. Listen, can you hear the sounds of the world all around you?

im listening to all that is happening around me, as much as i can. as much as i’ve learned to hear so far. but i listen with my eyes first. they always tell the truth if you learn how to read it..

terrain
Life has it’s ups and downs. I call them terrains. If you are not careful, you can fall into a low spot in your life, or you can watch every step and still trip from the bumps in life’s roads. You can try to level out the life terrains and walk across life’s path knowing you have prepared a plan to keep your step without having to focus each step. Life like a terrain can capture puddles of rainy days, and if you don’t clear out the rain, you will have a flood of emotions.

systems
body systems. what makes the world tick. we have one inside, we are part of one, we create them, we destroy them. we try to change them and believe we are right. but where do we really stand with the coexistence of ourselves with other people? do we have the right to decide how to do things, or is that right reserved to a collective, or higher power?

musical
I am very musical. I love to listen to music – although I can’t play a musical instrument, I can dance, I can sing and I can follow a beat. I listen to all kinds of music which makes me happy. I start my day off with music and I am very happy – it puts me in a good mood everyday.

sweep
she started to sweep the kitchen floor, trying her best to get all the little pieces of paper that her little brother had carelessly left behind after he completed his sixth grade art project. she knew that if she didn’t get every last bit that her mother would be disappointed. her little brother was incapable of doing any type of thing involving organization, and it was her job to help him anyway she could; she did it because she felt responsible.

I felt that my worth was measured by my accomplishments in life. Did I pass or fail I have no idea. I hate to think that my worth would be summed up by what I had or had not accomplished.

steps
There are steps in life we as human beings must pitifully endure step 1: childhood Where you are unconcious how bitter the world is Step 2: That awkward phase Where you’re not a child nor a teenager, and life becomes difficult Step 3: Heartbreak Where you think you’re in love, then you realize love is crap and Step 4: Being left to go out on our own Where you finally see the world in your perspective
It’s terrifying how life throws these steps at you, but as humans we must all endure them to better ourselves.

shown
Life has shown me (over my 61 years) that it’s not what happens to you that matters–it’s what you do about it.

since
Since I was a little girl I have loved words. I’m 61 years old now, and I’m definitely a word nerd. Most people just roll their eyes over things I find fascinating. For instance, I’m becoming convinced that the adverb is disappearing from spoken English. I can’t tell you how many times television commentators says things like “He closed the door quicker than I did” instead of “more quickly.” Am I the only one noticing this? I know the English language is fluid, but come on…. A whole part of speech disappearing? Something else I’ve found fascinating is that there is a word for everything! You can’t look at the smallest part of a piece of machinery or a piece of furniture or a piece of a computer, without knowing that there is a term for it. It’s just a matter of finding out what the term is.
