lilies

God. When I was younger I wanted to be the kind of girl who matched lilies. I wanted to be pretty and small and delicate. I wasn’t, ever, and I never will be. But I’m still kinda jealous of lilies.

apron

She wore the apron tied behind her like a uniform. “Alrighty then. BAKING.” This was normal. This was her, the girl who took each task as a war to safe her home country.

thunder

Her eyes looked like thunder as they watch them cross the floor. Sometimes it’s easier to yell at people without opening your mouth at all, sometimes it’s easier to hate them from a distance. She might be thunder, but she was going to cause damage like lightening.

sleeve

I tugged at his sleeve gently, he didn’t feel it. He couldn’t, it was ages ago that he fell asleep, it was ages ago I watched him drift away. Knowing he wasn’t mine.

slouch

We were sitting together in the chair. There wasn’t room for the two of us. We were hiding from my parents and their friends. They were in the other room talking about where to go to eat. We couldn’t care less. Why was it always such an ordeal? Let’s just eat. It’s vacation. Something special. Why not pizza? Why couldn’t we ever get room service? Why was that always such a big deal?

marble

slab. The ice cream there is so good. Wow I feel like a fatty right now. I see this and think of dessert.

I also think of a cool, hard surface. Maybe a bit shiny. It’s what they use to mix the ingredients in……(:

beginning

It was the beginning. We could forget the past, forget everything, and move on to our future. We would laugh, cry, dance, and sing, and now we would wait for the celebrations to begin. We were reborn.

my patent was a new ball. it bounced all over the world, from city to city. it didn’t just meet new people. it changed lives, and knew all the words to all the songs.

combination

A combination of people, opinions and experience. That’s what makes the world. A combination of everything is what builds and makes up the world. The experiences are the foundations and we go from there…

profound

there is nothing so sad as a child who has slammed their thumb in a door, in a woman who has left her lipstick in a taxi, in a lover who has missed his train. Nothing so profound as all of them finding themselves one a sidewalk, colliding in misery and then, separating into their various parallel lives.

passionate

there was a couple in the room, one bed, a lamp and a t.v.

they lived there for two days, breathed the same air, the same lungs opening up. passionate, purposeful they made their way through time, taking it, spending it luxuriously, as only two young lovers would.

still

He sat in stillness, watching the raindrops roll down the window, rooting for one to beat the other to the bottom. Ali refocused his glance to the girl crossing the street. If I sit still enough, he thought, I might just not be noticed by her.

automatic

Everything is automatic these day. My thoughts are automatic. I’m automatically tired all the time. I wish I could drive a stick shift. I don’t know where this is going, but I also like driving without knowing where my vehicle will take me. Sometimes automatic is fantastic. Sometimes it isn’t. I really enjoy these.

castle

THere was one in the sky at one point, or so I’ve heard. I used to live in one, at one point. But that was five years ago. A long one point ago. How long is one point? How is it measured? I lived in one for a little over three months and then I left and moved into a hotel.

spring

Spring is what I feel when I look at you. Joy, hope, rebirth. You are everything that brings happiness in my life. The blooming of flowers represents my love anew each day. You are my spring.

mystery

I didn’t know what it was about him. He looked constantly lost. I wanted to grab him by the arm and lead him to his destination, but I didn’t know who he was or where he was going. He was a mystery. I wanted to crack him open and bend his spine and sit there and devour his brain like a Nancy Drew novel. He needed to be worn, with tears in his pages and watermarks.

setting

It took place at night in my parents’ basement. It was dark and my sister and I were getting the car because there was a murderer on the loose and nobody knew where to find him. There was a manhunt. Police walked the streets in full riot gear carrying guns. We got in the car and drove out in the driveway. Immediately we were covered in blood.

warned

she was warned. why did she never listen. now here she was again…big bad trouble headed her way. She tried to remember why she had come here in the first place. Did it even truly matter now? Probably not. That was her problem. Too much time thinking about things that didn’t matter and not enough time paying attention to things that did. Like warnings. Oh well, what to do now? Think!

morality

The morality of the guy made him just that much hotter, and while Sarah leaned back onto the railing to observe him better, he was helping a girl who fell. Lovestruck, Sarah was in no way worried about the girl.

preoccupied

Too preoccupied by the new set of twins, mom let me go out to the grocery store to fetch things we need. Little did I know that the one visit to that store would change my life for the better. “Hi there,” a boy down the aisle said to me. I turned to face him and he smiled. “Hello,” I timidly answered, not knowing why such an attractive stranger would want to say hello to me, in a grocery store, no less!

convinced

I guess I convinced him and he convinced me and in so doing we convinced each other not to care. He couldn’t care because if he did then he would prove me wrong, or right. And the same for me. If I were the one to fold he’d win. Neither of us could lose.

I was not convinced of the lies he was continuing with ever hit of his tongue against his palet, but I let him speak on just to think of what he would say next. Eventually. Eventually I’d stop him and get the REAL story of what happened that night, but for now I’m perfectly fine without making a sound.

couch

The couch under the window had a dim light covering half of it, as an exhausted Justin came to sit down after a long day at work. He was anxious for what the couch would bring tonight; a scary movie night with the girl he’s liked for over a decade. She’ll sadly never feel the same way, he though, but spending time with her still made his heart flutter.

The couch in the front living room, however, was more than just a couch to him. It was his whole life from the time he was six years old. That could held christmas gifts and sickness memories and even his first kiss. Finding out he had to get rid of him broke his heart.

crouch

Flustered that she was found, Alisa arose from her crouched position behind the tuba case and stepped over a ledge to get out of the corner. “How’d you possibly find me?” He ignored her question. “For God’s sake, Alisa, I cant believe you’re skipping another class! You need to get your act together! You’ve been warned by the director before that if any more of your grades slipped you’ll be kicked out of the ensemble!”

Posted By Meg On 09.20.2011 @ 3:45 pm

The girl crouched behind the couch as she heard the loud, manly voice shouting “It smells like girl! Tyler, have you had a girl in here?!” He was furious. Slowly, she crept towards the door, hoping to escape before the man got into the room she was in.

mist

what? my goal was to connect this somehow to gas and then to the price of gas and then to how I don’t have money to get to work tomorrow – but this is beyond me. This just reminds me of Gorillas. as in …in the mist. Yeah. And i think that watching Psych was much more entertaining than this. Phew.

sinking

I’m falling into this pit of dispair. Drowning in depression. I can’t live without love but here I am. He said he loved me but he was with someone else….. I suppose being in love isn’t the same as “I love you”. Too bad, I had high hopes and I let it get to my head.
