listening
Listening to the waves, I clutch my knees to my chest. The salty spray stings my cheeks as I sit on the cliff towering above the ocean. The sound beckons me. It pulls me in. My chest rises up and down. I reach my hand out to the sky, but there is nothing to hold. Only the humid air that lingers around me. I stand and feel the rock below. It is wet and cold. I look to the water that quivers in the distance. Jump.

sound
sound is cool. sound is music. music is life. thats all there is to it.. sound is therefore, life. without sound the world would be so silent and sad. without sound how would you life be affected? next time you hear an annoying sound and want it to go away consider how quiet the world would be without it.

I spent my day wasting time on you…. That was all I wanted to do… but you didn’t love me too… What’s the point?

vote
Voting is involuntry where I come from. Still, I think it is worth while. Why shouldn’t I care about who leads me?

asthma
He rounded the corner, the creature hot on his heels. The thing was catching up. He could not breathe but he had to keep going.

spa
The building was humble. A chimney smoked. She sighed as she dropped her bags in the foyer, wondering just how long she would stay here. Everything was so cozy and inviting.

comfort
Comfort is climbing out of a hot bubble bath and slipping into a cushy white robe and crawling into a sea of down-comforters, into the arms of your love.

porter
porter, as in hospital porter, as in personal that cleans up sick and mops the floor? I think that’s what it means anyway. In Being Human the vampire was a hospital porter, I can’t remember his name, but I remember what he looks like.

The porter loaded up the sea plane as fast as he could. He would have to fly in the night and try not to get caught. He was looking at possible jail-time. He couldn’t afford that. Not again. Not after going down the way he went last. He was glad the flight would be an hour long. He gulp and wiped the sweat from his brow. This would be last trip he would make. That was the deal. He wished rather than hoped that it was really going to happen.

assaults
She didn’t think about it, she just hit him. I mean, he deserved it, right? Cheating on her with that young little bitch? She was no saint either, and she knew that, but she had to hit him. She had to pay him back for the assaults he had thrown on her.

modem
It was something he couldn’t quite comprehend, the idea that newer is always better. His seven-yet-old microwave worked absolutely fine, so why should he invest in a new one? Modern appliances had little function these days.

railroad
So she plucked her lucky penny from in between the railroad’s broken tracks, soiling her pudgy hands and the hem of her cotton dress. You might think she lived in the 1800s or something, by the way she dressed. But Frances-Jane was your average, modern 14-year-old. She thought about boys and gingerly pressed the “Friend” button on Facebook. She snuck Mom’s Cosmo in her free time, and pestered her friends about the meaning of some words she found in there. She thought she was too fat. And maybe she was. Maybe, she could’ve used to lose a few pounds. But that didn’t warrant the amount of self-hatred Frances-Jane possessed, nor the number of calories she’d consumed that day and then thrown up later.

The tracks were old and rotten, cracked and worn. Sensing their instability she cleared her mind and rested her palms on the rails. Whistles and bells rang in her ears, and she collapsed.

architecture
architecture is beautiful. it can be complex, minimal, it can inspire, it can sadden. It can set a mood and yet, it is simply the arrangement of blocks. I can find no better way to represent a town than through its architecture.

entrée
I settled in my seat, my fingernails nervously tapping the tablecloth. He gazed at me intensely from across the table, sending my heart fluttering with a small smile. The entree was served and I tore my gaze away, but his icy eyes watched my every move.

exquisite
The feeling in the morning I wish I had chance to experience. Everything I think about my family and loved ones. Everything I strive to be. The description I would never use for myself. What I want to be.

belief
is something I don’t really have, other than in the normal facts of life. I’m an atheist. There is no purple turtle just around the next curvature of the globe. I don’t believe in my self either. Self-confidence is something most teens (like myself) lack. I do, however, know the sun will rise tomorrow. These static world conditions are all I have, so I clutch onto them with in a death vice.

professional
She was professional. Or something. What she meant was she wore business suits and watched CNN if nothing better was on. She pretended to read the NY Times while she sipped on a coffee she didn’t like. That is professional right?

sweat
After the race he met her. The girl he had been thinking about since Jared had started this stupid marathon training. It didn’t make much sense to him that he had never talked to her but it didn’t matter now because there he was talking to her like it was nothing. She was so beautiful, even after having run a marathon.

accordion
The folds are soft and lovely. While the mountains dance in the twilight, I curse my self for the insecurities. Bellow to the moon, and before it is too late! My life is a spiral – too confusing to follow.

guns fly and there is a sound in the air. before I know it I look down at my body and there’s blood. Still dust settles but is still caught up in the air. That is when I start to see the man who has just shot me.

discovery
The discovery of Jesus is too wonderful not to share. I discovered Jesus when I was just a little girl. My mother was a born again christian, and she shared with me about Jesus. when I was thirteen, I asked the Holy Spirit into my heart. Then when I was about 27 yrs, I committed my life to Christ.
