an animal: a dog; a cat. My domestic world is that of a computer; two speakers upon a desktop. One of which lays upon a stack of books, the other of which is upon a glass surface. I sit, happily or unhappily domesticated, within the confines of a house among a street of houses; the suburban life I have known for twenty one years now.
