bowling
There are 10 pins and a bowling ball. You throw the ball and let it roll down a long lane until it knocks the pins down. Each turn you get to throw 2 balls to try and knock down all the pins. There are 10 frames in a game.

must
We must keep trying. We must always keep trying. Staying stationary is not an option. No artist is ever complete or satisfied. This is a must. You know the quote. Im sure a teacher has quoted it at you. You must not stop trying.

When we fall, we rise. For staying low gets us nowhere. Be risen. Rise as high as you can go and the a little higher. keep your head high and keep on going

keen
One keen fellow walked along a beach as he told his story. He was telling this mighty fine story to a little boy who was also walking along this beach. It was about nothing and everything all at once. It was just a story to pass the time as they made their way down that beach.

hassle
It is always a hassle to go to the grocery store. First you have to be sure to pick up all of the necessary items, not forgetting things like milk and bread. Then, you have to wait in tedious lines with families who have unruly children and old ladies with a myriad of coupons. Finally, if you go to a thrift type grocery store, you will have to bag and carry all of it to your car yourself.

transform
I ran to the forest trying not to transform into what I was before anyone saw me. The wind in my hair and the rain in my face was making my transformation work faster. I needed to get out of sight this was my secret, my lie and I couldnt let them know. They had not acceptace for what I was.

stacks
Where everyone makes out in the library, or perhaps where all the knowledge worth looking for is hidden. Its a shame that so few people enter that area in pursuit of knowledge.

chores
Chores aren’t something very fun but they have to be done if you don’t they will pile up and you will regret looking back and seeing that there is so much done that you wished that you could have done. Don’t regret having work DO it and make sure it is done well because it is only a little chore.

predict
I predict that this isn’t going to be a very well written write up about the word predict. However, I am predicting that you will still feel required to read it. When one predicts the second party is never sure what reasoning there was behind it.

remember
I remember the last time you put your arms around me.You told me you missed me and I believed you. Remember how good the old days were? When we weren’t apart and everyday wasn’t a struggle to keep whatever little bit of relationship we had left alive.

sideburns
I see him. The man over there with the sideburns. I wonder whether he hasn’t shaved in a while or whether its just his “style”.. Maybe I should ask him? No. That would be awkward.. Or is it a good conversation starter? Hmm.. maybe we could be friends..

You have them down the side of your cheeks. I see them. I wonder, why are they there? Have you recently been living on the streets and have not had the time to shave them ? Or is it your “style” ..? I cannot see why you like them.

glowing
The night was still young, but throughout the tall grass you could see fireflies glowing. It was a beautiful night. He took my hand as we stood there, Jason and I. Beneath the moon, beneath the stars, beneath it all. It was magnificent, and I am fairly sure he would have told me that I too was glowing; but it wasn’t because of some scientific reason, it was because of him.

bench
She sat on the sidelines. Benched. Odd one out. Wondering why she wasn’t chosen for the team. She could run, she could kick a ball. Wasn’t that enough to join in? Did the coach notice that she was sitting alone..again? Did anyone?

suicide
my teenage niece has tried twice. what makes a 15 year old girl decide she is not worthy of a place on this earth? It’s not the way out, there’s nothing afterwards except for pain, grief, confusion, loss and desperation for the people left behind.

wishing
Oh how wishing is unproductive. Take action today instead of just sitting there wishing. If you want something in life, make a logical plan and go forward with it. There is no wishing in my life, if there is, it’s the things that will always be a ‘wish’

lucky
People who have something to live for. Those that feel like they don’t aren’t so lucky because they can’t see the love that others have for them, all of the little things in life to be grateful for. I am lucky, I know others who aren’t…who don’t choose to be

What I am, even though it’s not really luck, I believe everything is already set in place. It’s just an expression for me but it means so much more than just ‘lucky’ I think of clovers and little girls with ponies.

stamps
The stamps stuck to my sticky fingers. I flailed my hands in a futile attempt to remove the little sticky demons, but they refused to budge, as stubborn as an ox or donkey. Frowning, I looked at my letter forlornly.

believer
I believe, you know I do. Forever in you. It’s like swirling candy dust, sprinkles in the air- magic. Magical. It’s magical to believe, to have faith- in Santa, in the Tooth Fairy, in the Easter Bunny. To believe it to be beautiful. Beautiful.Believe. I do.

amazed
i was amazed at how clean everything was. she must have spent the whole night awake, scrubbing away and perfecting the stroke of the toilet brush. i do not doubt i could have eaten off of her floor. the shoes were neatly arranged in a shoe dispenser close by and everything else was in its place.

admit
It’s hard to admit when you’re wrong. Or when you’ve failed. It’s hard to admit that you’re alone and must rely on yourself. But when you admit to your flaws its purifying and cleansing
