He passed her the piece of paper that held more worth than weight. At first she eyed it, refusing to make a move. “You better make the right choice,” he snickered. “Fuck off.” And with that, she dangled the pen in her hand, angling it toward the paper as if she was going to sign it. He watched her hand inch closer and closer to the paper, awaiting the moment when they would collide, thus forming his dream.
Before he could react, she stabbed his arm with the pen, and ran.

airstream
Harry flew the plane faster and faster, pushing the plane’s and his own physical limits, It was life or death. Attempt to evade enemy attacks using drastic measures, or die. Harry’s young life played in his mind, and he was not satisfied. He wanted more. He concentrated, gathered all his skill, and weaved in and out of enemy fighter planes with ease, like an eel, but the air was his water. The sky was his domain.

manhattan
First thing that comes to mind, Woody Allen. I’m not even a fan of the movie, but it does allow for some beautiful views and scenes of Manhattan life. I’ve visited Manhattan a few times and was always fascinated by the speed and grandeur of the place. Also, it makes me think of one of my very favorite cocktails: I do love a good Manhattan at the end of the evening.

I felt my heart sputter in my chest as the train finally halted to a stop. Before the front passengers even had time to escape, I was already halfway down Broadway, experiencing complete bliss. Grandpa always said this place would light up, even if it didn’t have lights. Everyone and everything was so incandescently glowing; it was the most humbling thing to see. I finally made it. Hello, Manhattan; I am home.

rocker
She sat in the quiet rocker beside the window, gently allowing her body to move with the piece of furniture. She remembers how it felt to be seven years old, watching intently as her mother rocked in the chair; back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. As her eyes met the clouds, she wondered how her life had gotten to this point: sitting alone in the middle of New York City, with nothing but a rocking chair to keep her grounded.

shoulder
He touched her shoulder, and tried to kiss the freckles that climbed their way to her neck. She flinched, not yet used to this sudden physical attention. “I can’t do this,” she whispered. “Can’t do what?” “Love you.” He dropped his cheek to comforting space between her shoulder and her neck and traced the constellation of freckles for the final time.

taboo
She walks confidently, her red dress contrasting against the grey streets, buildings, and sky. Nothing about her seems provocative, but everyone knows. Everyone knows.

celestial
The stars are above us. Watching over us like a caring father. they guide us when it is dark, they lead us to home and to safety. Explorers used these fatherly stars to discover new continents and to travel far away.

Celestial confusion swirled about, trying to pull me in and teach me its elusive ways. I felt drunk, yet sober; tired, yet alert. There were contradictions leaking from my presence as I stared into the sky. The celestial confusion continued to swirl above my head.

loom
There are monsters that loom in your head and friends that loom by your side. So drop your gaze from the sky and focus on the good. Are you aware of all the looming entities you should be very grateful for? The magnetic force of the monsters can only hold you for so long, until you’re forced to meet the beauty that looms beside you.

beer
I like good beer. IPAs, Pale Ales, Porters, a nice Cream Stout. Why do other people like shit for beer? I am surrounded my beer, I work in a liquor store. Is it bad that I judge people on the kind of beer that they throw up on the counter?

I like to drink beer on the weekends. Sometimes out on the porch in the green chair

Beer is his friend on a Friday night, when his friends have left him for someone more exciting. Beer is for friends who cannot stop shouting at the television, and for parents who are searching for an escape from this hectic life called ‘what did I get myself into.’ Beer is not for everyone, but it’s okay to allow it to sit in your gut and take you away once in a while, but be weary, for beer has the power to overtake your mind, and take you too far…perhaps to a place from which you cannot return.

stories
I tried to pry them from my head, but nothing came. I waited for them to float down from the sky and land in my lap. I wanted so badly to kiss the pages with my fingers and have stories come to life in my presence, but it never happened. I kissed my papers and held them tight, but no words ever came, so I had to go find them; I had to tell my story.

to make easier. break it down so that you aren’t complicating your life and whatever it is you’re trying to do. I need to simplify, to narrow down and goals and what i want to actually accomplish something bigger in my life.

I always wondered what would happen if you took your life and folded it in half and in quarters and stuck it in a bag. I wondered if you could simplify a human life by simply removing the garbage and planting smiles in your bones. I think if you just stop thinking about that and this and her and him you’d be able to wake up in the morning and not feel the heavy claws of depression calling out to you. I think you should just wake up, and live.

Choose just one thing you want to be. One thing that matters most right now. A good sister, a person who exercises, a magician, a person who laughs easily. I’ll give you a few seconds to think. Have you got it? Okay. Forget everything else now. Spend today and tomorrow trying to be that. Just that.

cliffs
Clifford the dog always resented be deemed appropriate for the ‘children’s literature world’. He was a dog after all. Big, dirty, red. He was the only red dog he knew, and he always thought that made him seem edgy. God he wanted to be edgy. If only the world knew his adult literature potential.

Years of hard, back breaking work at the mills had caused his health to deteriate and for his clothes to be permanently covered in a powdery layer of flour, the building block of his livelihood.

smudge
When you smudge a screen on a iPad or tv it gets really dirty and it is sometimes hard to clean it of so I don’t let anyone play on my iPad especially my brother because he presses my screen really hard and know I can’t clean it off
