alibi

Alibi…never really used the word. Reminds me of the word “scapegoat”. Ding!

desk

a pile of papers on my desk that haven’t been touched. A big mug of coffee, as dark as night. I want to go to sleep; curl up under my blanket and die. Damn these exams!

blaze

I miss the blaze of your eyes at the sight of me. The light of our candle is down to a mere flicker. And I sit here and despair over the loss of my love.

temper

You need to control your temper; don’t back away when I tell you to; don’t take all my criticism; don’t let me upset you; don’t let me hurt you; I need to control my temper.

exquisite

Your eyes are exquisite. Sharp, and beautifully shaped liked a precious gem. Also the reason why I can’t have you.

belief

Belief is a beautiful little word; I believe in ghosts and fairies and demons and monsters and nature and science; and my beliefs are not making sense anymore; and I turn my beliefs into disbelief; and out springs another belief; and I believe in one thing today, and another tomorrow; evolution is a fact; and my beliefs evolve too.

town

This town is not my home. It grinds away at my being like an endlessly rolling wheel. I need you here. I need you with me.

camera

I had to snap one last picture of you, one last memory etched in frozen time, one last twinkle, one last spark. But alas, my battery flashed low power and I was running out of time. I clicked frantically, hoping the dying flash would capture an imagine, one last image, of you. I click, and the camera dies, and I am left in the darkness of lost hope.

sacred

Funny now alternating the c and a can make the word sacred, mutate into scared.

chief

The chief looked at all of us, stern as steel, walking with an air of confidence. As he walked past me, though, I noticed slight twinkle in his eyes flared up ever so delicately. He can never be professional around me. Love breaks all superficial barriers.

epic

“It’s going to be EPIC!” I’m running out of catchy ways to advertise for fundraisers. So I have to make false promises.

wagon

The wagon dragged along, down the hill, down the bumpy track, stumbling occasionally. But it must carry its loads to the lake. Finally, to drown by its own weight.

festival

These festivities are meant to fill that hole in your heart left by those troughs in life, when you fall, and just want to pretend it’s alright.

glimmer

A glimmer of hope in the eyes of darkness. Just a spark of light to know we’re alright. That’s all I needed. Just a sign that you still cared. You still loved me.
