pained

It was dark in the dungeon. The girl was cold and thirsty and hungry. She cried and cried and cried. It pained her to think of anything other than her hands. Her bloody, burned hands that had been through so much torment. But still they worked. Still she could move her fingers. It was better than her legs. They were severed just below the knee.

happy

She makes me happy and that’s all I care about. Tomorrow we will leave for good and hopefully neither one of us will look back. If she decides the trip will not be worth it, that’s fine too. I just want to be happy.

Walls we build, walls to protect us, shelter us, isolate us. Walls to keep us safe, walls to keep us small. Wall we live in, walls that hold our monsters.

expecting

I’m expecting to do well this semester, although I’m taking over three times as many hours as the previous term. I’m taking twenty hours. I’m going to work harder than I have ever worked. I’m expecting to have absolutely no free time, and that’s ok. My education is now important to me. I expect to succeed.

I was expecting a certain piece of post recently – I got what I was expecting, and I don’t like it. It is a prediction of what you think is the most likely outcome of a situation, making you “expect” something to happen because of something.

assisted

Sometimes I will want to assist people in their life in general, I want to just help sometimes. Once having assisted someone, I feel better about myself, knowing that I have done a selfless deed for someone else and that I have made their day go by a little easier. I like helping people.

honest

Many people can be honest and true to what they believe in life, but there are many that will not be. The best someone can hope to do, is to live life believing people are being honest with you and with themselves, and to only return the favour. Many mistakes can be made.

station

The train station was crowded, especially at noon. This was when the most people were boarding and leaving and this was when the most could be seen. All of the people in the station have a story, you see, and if you look closely enough, you can see it for yourself.

remember

when I think back about what I can remember, it’s really quite vague. I remember the hospital and I remember the accident, and the thick scarlet of the blood. But not much more. I don’t remember why I’m here, I’m a bit bored of trying to remember actually; I just sit and play out mini battles with lego in my head, It’s a strange life I’m living from the coma.

Acoustics is when sound waves travel from place to place and bounce off of solid objects. Bathrooms tend to have good acoustics. They are very important in the creation of music and musical instruments.

severe

severe isn’t a severe word. It sounds almost pleasant on it’s own. Yet when attatched to any other word immediately becomes negative. The word Severe should be rescued from it’s connotations.

To believe, to believe that you, above all others, can enjoy success is a halmark of a strong mind. To believe you can not succeed is a halmark of a mind defeated.

cowboy

i’ve already written about cowboys. quite frankly i am annoyed at the lack of user interface. really, shouldn’t a website in the year 2010 know that you’ve already visited it? anyways, hopefully the new word will be more appealing.

Posted By ross On 11.16.2010 @ 6:13 pm

There once was a magestic horse with breath of fire. He roamed the land looking for delicious cowboys to devour. The flesh of men sustained his bloodlust while he searched for his lost love. For a thousand years the kind of men feared his presence.

bleach

I avoid touching bleach by the whisks of my hair or the tips of my fingers. It leads to a orangey sun-in phase in high school. It’s obviously the best cleaner. Too bad we can’t use it to clean other’s mouths.

pillar

A pillar stands alone, no need for guidance, no purpose, just alone, and as people pass and have no second thoughts, it watches with envy of everyones busy lives until it witnesses a tragedy, and then it regains contentedness.

deny

do not deny what can patently be seen, for that is the folly of mankind. to sit back on our laurels of what we have always known instead of accepting the new facts that we see every day. Do not deny what can patently be seen.
