sonar

The beeps from the sonar were the only sounds as the crewmen stared motionless at the screen in front of them. Intelligence reports warned of the enemy’s presence in the area, but so far all the high tech gadgetry they rely on to keep them one step ahead of the game had been unable to locate the rogue submarine.

suggestion

The power of suggestion is intensified after a few beers. With the mental filter weakened by libations, everyone is more open to suggestions, good or bad. You should get on that bar and dance. You should stand up to that guy that cut in on your date. Many a morning have been ruined by the consequences of a suggestion that was born of alcohol.

bucket

There’s a bucket outside my house. Well, not really a bucket per se, more like a barrel cut in half to perform the job of a bucket. That job in this case is to hold flowers.

pits

they are dark and dingy, they engulf people, they are metaphorical, they consume peoples desires, they are traps, they force people into situations they dont want, they ruin plans, they challenge people, they are the thing you least expect but come across the most.

dilemma

there are often dilemmas in life. I remember one of my biggest. I was 16, and she existed. Why is it always 16? Did these problems ever exist for a 22 year old? No, because by then we realized how little we care about making THAT person like you. We just want to fuck.

hallowed

He stepped out onto the hallowed turf, looking up at the crowd and up further into the sky for this was the biggest day of his life to date, a day he could never have imagined happening.

entrée

I ate a little bit of fish the other day. Mmmm what a wonderful but oily endeavor. I wish I had used a bit less olive oil but there was plenty of garlic and pepper so it turned out wonderfully. I also, for the first time, used onions on my fish. It became flaky and wonderful and went down quite well.

an image, still life. if one misses out on life, and doesn’t absorb every beauty in it, one would be amiss and die unhappy.

i’m not sure why I’m writing this must be some kind of mechanical turk thing. Cacti don’t need a lot of water don’t think just stream of consciousness what is the point of this app? the only thing that makes sense is the timer below slowly going up aasdf.

setting

This is a fine setting for a fit of despair Kafka once wrote. I think he was wrong. All things have a measure of good if you wait long enough to find it. That’s what he learned in the long run I suspect. Or he might have fallen in a well and never been heard from again.

for years I knew that it would be coming. It got closer everytime I breathed, thought, touched. It wasn’t until the wee hours of the candle-lit evening before the actuality, that I cried. and died.

edge

There was only one way to get out of this situation. “That’s right, to the base.” Even though he had a 14 inch penis, even though the side of it had a seraded steel knife built into it, even though I knew it would hurt, I had no choice. I stuffed the whole thing down my throat like a big meaty corndog filled with whip cream. Except it was hot from cutting my esophagus and cheek. Blood spewed out and i

Children playing, formless making forms. There’s never been a better time to take a risk and spin faster on the merry-go-round. The sand beneath the swings holds scuff-marks from scrapes and falls, and also holds the promise of future joy and release into the air.

celebrate

I love to celebrate life’s little achievements. It’s really cool when something happens and you get to spontaneously celebrate something fun. My wife really enjoys it when we do something off the cuff and we splurge for something celebratory. Usually it involves going out to dinner. but it’s fun just to do that.

poison

Poison is a womans weapon and a weapon of cravens and enuches. First thing I learned about poison is it kills you. Second is that it’s not meant for little kids. Third… that when you put it in your mouth it usually tastes bad… which makes you panic, only to learn that depending on the poison it might not kill you in small amounts… just taste bad.

fast cars always get there quicker but the chance of accidents make this risky. I used to always dream of fancy cars, now less. I would like a driver rather than a fancy vehicle. Unless that vehicle was a boat. I am happy with public transport.
