pits
i feel as if im falling into a pit that i cannot get out of. i scrape my hands along the edges, looking for something to hold onto. Yet, there is nothing. Nothing in this pit for me to save myself. I am destined for this pit and i shall forever remain in the pit of despair.

i feel that im in the pits of despair. why can’t i leave this controlling evil lair. All i want is to be free, Release my wings and flee.

The ship pulled in. A woman saw the father standing on the shore. She leaped from the bow and into the ocean. He swam to her. He helped her from the seaweed and onto land. The walked towards the town without speaking any words. Nobody saw them again.

deny
I can’t deny what I feel. I love everyone I know, everyone I meet. I love them fully, like a deep well that your great grandfather dug in the back yard. I can’t deny what I feel. I need to fix every crack, to wield every sword with my heart.

ticket
“Oh my.” Lissy stared down into her purse with a frightened look. “What is it? Did you forget something?” Mom asked. “I don’t know where my ticket is,” She rummaged through her clothes, then stared at us with a lost look. “I can’t believe I’ve lost it.” We looked around hopelessly, wondering what we would do. “Why are you three still standing here? We need to get a move on.” My dad walked up to us in a huff. “What’s wrong now?” “Lissy has lost her ticket.” Dad glanced in her direction then raised his eyes to the sky. I didn’t miss her shame-filled face. “You silly girl. You gave it to me on the way here. Remember?” And to prove his point, he waved the ‘lost’ ticket in front of us and proceeded to walk toward the train.

startled
i was startled when i heard the news about josiass new job. i couldn’t hardly contain myself! we would be moving to amsterdam, starting a new life and hopefully a family. It seem so perfect so unreal…is this really happening?
