airstream

Everyone stood in the playground observing the airstream that was being emitted from the aircraft but my mind was on the pilot, the guy behind the controls. He controlled the plane , he controlled me. Well I allowed him to , it wasn’t by force it was more like the water gently wearing away at the rock. A subtle , long term process but the end result was near total destruction!

rocker

Are you off your rocker? Are you just letting life drift by, not caring too much about anyone or anything. What a complete utter waste of the gift that you have been given!

Step up to the plate,Shoulder your responsibility,be a man or a woman! What will happen if you fail to do so? The cancellation of generations of economic progress and the slip into the deep dark abyss of impoverishment that’s what!

auburn

The hazel eyed baby with the auburn hair. That was my first born. Age has darkened both the eyes and the hair . Twenty years later he is still my pride and joy. I was so grateful to share the most amazing Mother’s day with him today.

celestial

What beautiful celestial being! The beauty is all around us in the night sky if we would just pause and gaze upon it. Take the time to become a star gazer.

soap

Soap is a little everyday thing that we in the Western World take so much for granted. However it has been documented that it is the improvement in hygiene that has resulted in the greatest improvement in health in developed countries. Those who are less privledged, and that is teaming masses, face sickness and death everyday just because they don’t have soap. How sad!

beer

Beer was the first alcoholic drink that I ever indulged in. At two years old I sat on my Mothers knee and enjoyed a swig or two. Twenty, thirty, forty years later I was drinking across from her drinking considerably more than a swig.

simplify

The choice to simplify your life will pay you in spades. At first it will be a little complicated to do all that sorting, organizing and discarding but ah the reward ……..it will be simply awesome.

credibility

One’s credibility takes a life time to build but can be swept away in one careless moment. People judge us by the snapshot they take of our lives never stopping to consider the whole picture. They could never know the whole picture anyway. Only you can God know. Guard your own private kingdom well…….your reputation is more precious than silver or gold.

rating

Ratings are so important to TV show producers and movie makers but how about the rating on the much more important story, the story of your own individual life? How would you rate that?

timeline

The timeline of man stretches back just a few thousand years although some would like us to believe that it is much longer. You can either take the word of God as a literal redition or you can choose not to. As for me and my household we choose to believe.

dissolve

I dissolved like a puddle on the floor after the papers were served. What kind of man chooses not to support his own children and even ask , really commands, one of these children to serve the papers to put this level of cruelty into effect. The kind of man who should have never married in the first place! The kind of man who does not deserve to have the title father added to his resume!

ensue

When the battle ensued it took everyone by surprised. We went to calm , placid and amicable to a fireball of exploding fist and pulling of hair in 60 seconds flat.

enemies

Keep your friends close but your enemies closer. The problem arises when you cannot distinguish one from the other. The problem is further compounded when they do not even know who they are in your life! Enemies masquerading as friends, friends masquerading as enemies, all parties deceived!

crow

“Holy crow!” the exclamation was loud and long for all to hear.

He sat looking at the broken glass on the floor just tankful that his little girl had not slipped and fallen into that mess. What’s a little broken glass to sweep away? She was not physically hurt. Her tomorrows would no doubt be filled with little accidents more difficult to deal with.

clasp

I felt him clasp my hand in the darkness and suddenly the world became a safer, friendlier place. The darkness did not seem so dark and hope for the future loomed bright.

checkmate

In the game of life you never want to be in that checkmate position of utter and complete powerlessness. No defenses, no possibility of victory ahead. A divorce, a job loss, grief and distress they can all overwhelm…… but God! Where there is life there is hope.

magenta

Magenta is not a shy colour .It burst forth with boldness and thanks to our technologically charged world it has even entered the male vocabulary and forced them to see beyond the basic primary colours. Yes it holds a place of prominence on the computer” colour wheel”.

cliffs

I hang out suspended off the edge of my own personal financial cliff where I could easily plunge into the abyss ….but God. He provides an incredible safety net. My life is actually a miracle , the fact that I have been able to survive for so long is incredible.

Its a new day though. It is time to soar. To enjoy the view and triumph ……like an eagle in flight above it all.

metro

The metro, short for metropolis, is that big concrete jungle where we pass our fellow man without a word of greeting day in day out. Strangers passing each other along the way without connect until…. tragedy strikes.. …towers crumble and fall a bomb or two explode at the finish line then and only then do we come together for a brief moment in time.

creature

So what is this creature that reaches beyond the grave and still has the power to influence how he thinks today? Memories of this lost companion, the little lost puppy that wondered into our home that made a a man out of the little lost boy and taught him about love and responsibility. The puppy is long gone but the lessons he bestowed linger on.

mumbling

Mumbling is probably not the word you would use to describe the still small voice inside of you although some may wish to pass it off as such just so they can fool themselves into believing that they really did not hear it.
