lucky
i’ve already done this one. I’m such a noob I can’t believe that I’m writing the same one twice… great I already wrote about how strength proceeds luck in the likeliness of success… I guess some people are lucky. I’m fortunate, but not lucky in the slightest.

Lucky. No such thing ever existed. Only strength persists and luck has nothing to do with that.

shift
End of the shift comes up at midnight in this place, people leave at the end of the shift, shift back to their homes from professional to personal, back into the dark night and back home, where we shift from being a doctor to being a person. Shift from beginning to end. Shift key.

sugar
I just ate some, in little cubes from the Indian restaurant. The first time I had those was when Avishag brought them back from India in seventh grade, and I wondered what was in them and whether it was kosher, but she said it was just sugar, so I believed her and didn’t make a fuss.

shield
I see my attitude as a shield. A lot of times I pretend to be this self sufficient person, half of the things I have, I claim I make myself and I use these sort of interesting quirks to make myself seem more interesting. I tell people I used to live in Chicago.

mittens
Mittens are the very thing that every child hates. Even if it is a choice between having frostbite and wearing those over-sized, imprecise, no good mittens, it’s clear which is the smarter choice. Mittens only slow down snowballs, make tickling harder, and look dorky. For a child mittens are the worst enemy.

scissors
used to cut stuff obviously. But you have to take into account the fact that the font is violet colour. This gives the impression that these particular pair of scissors is one of those pretty little things that you can find in kid’s pencil boxes.
