spine
My spine is tight and my muscles hurt. The tension keeps me uncomfortable as I try to relax and unwind. There is a region in my spine that is knotted with pain.

starlight
The starlight diner was always a great place to go for a burger, fries and a great cup of coffee. Dessert was often cherry pie and there was the sweetest jukebox for dancing.

It was in the last century that I was born. I find it hard to believe that I am that old and have seen so many changes in my lifetime. Imagine what my grandmother would have seen?

wrapped
I sometimes get so wrapped around the axle about things that I find myself not thinking straight. I am overly invested in thoughts, ideas and feelings. It can be a distraction and problem in my life.

collar
I collared the dog in preparation for a ride in the car, most would say they had put the collar on the dog but they don’t know my little Jezzi Lou. She needs to be subdued in her excitement.

bow
The bow of the ballerina was tight and almost rigid…this was so different from the flowing recital she had just performed. The lines were jerky and uneven.

We clashed often and we clashed hard, our personalities were like fire and ice, there was very little common bond and yet we were bound together by blood. It was a difficult relationship at best.

sandwich
The tuna sandwich was perfect with just the right blend of tuna, egg, celery, mayo and a dash of garlic to set it off. It was a luscious meal and I enjoyed it very much!

I was high as a kite on the evening of the concert. ZZ Top was performing with Joe Walsh and I was so ready to party. The year was 1974 and I was at the concert with my new boyfriend and some other buddies.

dress
The dress was a lovely shade of magenta. I marveled at the delicate cut and line of the tea dress and wished that I could afford it. I imagined myself at a party wearing this seductive little number.

reflex
Reflex that is what comes to mind when I have one minute to write something related to any given word. I cannot stop and think I have to act on reflex to try to make sense of the situation. That is not always easy!

It was my destiny to find myself in circumstances that were difficult at best and yet I find myself rising to the challenge. I am loved and I love…that too is my destiny as I feel the passion coursing through my entire being.

meaning
The meaning of the word was obscure and rather obtuse, it was hard to describe in just a few words, phrases or sentences even. I tried to explain what I was saying but found myself floundering as I spoke.

I crossed myself as I heard the sirens going by. It was an old habit from years in Catholic schools. It was a small gesture but one that did carry positive intent for the welfare of those in need of emergency services.

lack
I lack empathy for those who would abuse children and women. They tend to be bullies who care only about themselves and their own egos. When we find ourselves overcome by a system full of abusers it is time to truly enforce the laws.
