transport

Once they landed there was a transport system waiting. There always seemed to be transport waiting for them. And with that fact always being true, she seemed to reassure herself that what they did must have reason and purpose and be right if the path always seemed clear and available for them to travel. And so she went.

gadget

He tinkered with it, the manservant behind him watching him closely. He was fond of his gadgets, his charge. It was funny. Once, he’s made on that could spot the difference between ink and pencil lead. He’d installed it on the family scanner and it made the documents much clearer, which was nice.

acoustic

The acoustic sound filled the room and they swayed; luckily the restaurant had gotten one of the best players around; The man strummed Starry Starry Night as they danced, happily, peacefully. whiskey

Today had been all about whiskey. The Drinking, the sting as it hit one’s tounge and the bitter taste it left, the buzzing in your ears after you took your 3rd or 4th shot, the chill of ice cubes as you caress them with your tongue, wanting to get every drop off in hopes it would make the dull pain of the day’s normality fall off your shoulders.

He ran to his lover and helped him over to the bed, the man beaming. “What happened to you?” “I fuckin’ won.”

luxurious

Luxurious. The black sheets of the warm bed in which he lied with his lover, in his arms. He wanted nothing more than to stay here forever, in this perfect world of piece, but he knew he’d have to get up soon; He’d have to get up and beat back the devils that cursed the land, watching his friends fall because of him. When the tear fell down his face his lover caught it and hugged him tightly; he knew how the man in his arms felt.
