catapult
A slingshot is like a catapult. I can only wish that I had one of those now. My sister was being such a brat. If only I had something to fling at her.

Armies used catapults, well they did in medieval time. It was cool and all until they used fire and burned down villages. That sucked. They swing things around and hurt people but y’know things happen and life goes on.

lullaby
everyone thinks that lullabys have to be sung. but no one ever sang to me, not that i can remember at least. but the moments of my parents holding me until i fell asleep or just being there, that was my lullaby. and thats what everyones lullaby should be, it should be what made them the most comfortable.

She sang softly to the child, her voice soft and soothing. The infant’s eyes closed and her mouth opened I’m a pink o. She drifted off to sleep but the lady continues to sing. As she continued the soft tones began to mangle into a disturbing disjointed melody. The child awoke with a cry, bawling, tears streaming dowm her small face. The harsh tones of the lullaby grew louder and louder along with the baby’s screaming wails. All the sound stopped abruptly. Only silence could be heard.

A song my mother used to sing to me. It would lull me to sleep. Most nights I would go straight into the arms of slumber. But it wasn’t those nights that were memorable. It was the nights that I spent tossing and turning in bed, even after my mother sang me that

wafer
So fragile–it crumbles under my touch, disintegrates on my tongue, disappears.

Like in England, when our ship would sail across the ocean from West Africa for a little while, and we’d have a chance to go to the supermarket and buy these pink-and-yellow, strawberry wafers. They’d melt in our mouths during snack time, and then it was back to school-on-a-ship.

soap
Clean and smooth. It smelled like my auntie and her lake house, the one with the porch and the quiet, sleepy dog out front. She would come out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron, trying to figure out what she was going to do next. She would call our names, each with more demanding spirit than the last and tell us that we had to come to the kitchen or else our dessert would be sent to the dogs.

credibility
credibility could mean you are amazing and you may get awarded or your greatness and that could feel good because everyone would praise you and then you would be respected by everyone you see.

dissolve
I stepped out into the cold evening air and looked to the heavens. As I breathed in the shock of freezing air, my eyes burned with the light of the stars and I began to dissolve into the sky.

ensue
I ensued on a journey to vast lands of cold grasses wet with dew. I evolved into a flower form, peaceful at the time of my embarkment. My head felt like it was swelling, as though I were in a dream. My body felt lean and tall, like a stem.

enemies
You don’t like me. But we all have problems. Why don’t you like me? What did I ever do to you? I want to be friends. Can we change this? I don’t have enemies anymore. No more hatred.

clasp
The clasp was cold in my hand, it felt heavy, heavier than it looked. I help it carefully, as if it might break if I held it too tight. Never have I seen such a simply beautiful object.

The clasp fit into my hand, it was cool and had a metalic shine to it. My eyes widened “Where did you get this” I whispered in awe

café
The café at the end of the street always caught my eye when I first moved to California. Everyone there seemed to be having a wonderful time, and it made me happy to think that such a small little shop could bring so much joy to a person in their day to day. The coffee they served was delicious, too, which just made the visit that much better. I will never forget that little café at the end of the street…

I went to a cafe in Italy. It was raining and I was so happy. We had the whole day in Venice ahead of us. Romance. No worries. Nothing but me, him and a cappacino. The whole trip ahead of us.

I imagine a tiny cafe in a remote area. I am with a boy. We are happy. We are enjoying a meal. People around us are in good moods. We all get along. We are at peace. Everything is set in place. The waitor is nice. He serves us fun cheeses and bread. We drink wine. We laugh. A lot! Laughter is the key. We smile to everyone. Everyone is welcome in this afe.

cliffs
Cliffs. Tall and wide and rocky. Freckled with bluebirds and lush green mosses. Underneath lay crashing waves, rolling in and out gently like the rocking of a baby’s cot.

creature
These creatures have the worst facial features I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen the unseen and everything in between and Somehow I’ve never been engulfed by so much fear. These creatures are beautiful, the worst. The greatest intimidation. Last comes first. First come first serve. Creatures eating like neanderthals at a five star buffet. Creatures will do what they will, anyway. I won’t join the creatures just yet, not quite today.

mumbling
It’s what I do under my breath when something is too brilliant or devious to be said out loud. My mumblings are more my true self than any well thought out utterance could be.

attracted
I couldn’t help being attracted to him. The curve of his chin, the shape of his face, his smile, just everything about him was attractive. I felt like he was a regal prince waiting to take me away off to a far away land.

anchor
It’s kind of wierd how the strangest things can hold you down. And I think some people need something there, tying them down, or else they’ll never come back even though they want to. They’re too busy, the kind of person who just never slows down. They need an anchor or else they’ll reach the stars tooo early and have nothing to strive for. They’ll just keep going so far they’re out of reach.

listening
I’m listening through the door to my brother’s conversation. I know I’m not supposed to be listening, but what can I say, I’ve never respected people’s personal bubbles. Anyways, this was important. I just so happened to be walking by when I heard my name mentioned.
