cathedral

I was sitting there alone in that big open space. The faint light came through the painted glass and it reflected on my skin. I gazed at the wooden cross. I sat there in confusion. This is the cathedral, the so called “haven” when all I think about is….

architecture

i think of skyscrappers…. not that i have seen any but i’d imagine that they would be the modern day version of jack’s bean stalk… full of mysteries that only its creator fully understands…. looks magical and magnificent…. simply fills you with awe

shorthand

Time and Time I wonder if I was left behind in life if everything for me is shorthand. I lack so much that I need and want but can’t have.

dismissed

I dismissed you yesterday so why are you still here, talking to me trying to get me to understand when I don’t want to.Stop trying to explain yourself and leave. You make me sick after all I did for you, you turn around and do that to me I will never forgive you and this person standing her is not the person I know.

repeat

I’d like you to repeat what you just said Mister Tate. I got up slowly and rose to the stand. “I never ate his potato salad, I never even stood near his food. Or near his table.”

discovery

This word is extremely evocative. It evokes personal journeys, finding about yourself, and personal digging. I think of “delving,” as well, another extremely evocative word. This is the dumbest freewrite ever, I think. Why am I drawing such a blank?

severe

This reminds me of a book that I’m reading right now in English class. It’s the book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Somebody. It’s really interesting so far because it has so many controversial issues in it, like polygamy and womens rights! The reason why it reminds me of this sentence is because in the book, the character Onkonkwo is described as looking ‘severe’.

charge

you think that you have the right to take charge. you’re not the boss of anybody, we’re all free to do whatever we want. just because you’re older, doesn’t always give you a right. or just because you’ve always decided what to do doesn’t mean that this has to continue. you’re not in charge. nobody is. we’re all equal and this shouldn’t be the case. you need to step down from your ‘throne’

under

under the sea where the stars hide, remember the life before the lows of the tide. everything was simple, all was fine, until the moon arose and the hearts began to colide.

install

I install some program to my computer. It’s a very liberating feeling because I know that I will be able to create some new form of media with it. The Korean word for install is “seol-chi”. I had a bit of difficulty at first in trying to memorize it, but now I use it like it’s nobody’s business. I wish learning could be installed into our brains like the program for operating an Apache helicopter was installed into Trinity’s brain in The Matrix.

path

This is the path, the road we choose, the life we lead. We walk upon it and sometimes we regret. We wish we had not chosen this path, but we cannot turn back. This path is winding and it seems never ending. We never know what’s coming.
