transform

One day I will transform into something wonderful and weird. Everyone will stare and point and I will gladly dance into the night, my skirts flowing, my hair trailing behind like seaweed.

we need to change everything from the top to the bottom, inside and out, to make everything better and interesting and creative and to speak the truth about what we want to do in the future and in the present.

petition

“Will you sign this petition?” Usually, my routine is to breeze right past such people. But something about her made me stop. Maybe it was her ripped converse, or the streak of dark blue under her jet-black hair.

bench

They they sat. She was looking into his eyes, and trying to be strong for him. I don’t know how long they had been sitting there, but it looked like a while. I squatted down to feed the ducks in front of them. I overhead a conversation that brought me to tears.

She asked him in a whisper filled with love, “How much longer?” He replied that he didn’t know, it could be a week, or six months.

shepherd

Sheep. Sheep-man. Peace. Shepherd’s Pie is delicious. My mom would cook it for me when I was little, I liked it because I could scrap off the potatoes on top and only eat those. Reminds me of home.

comfort

The idea of comfort brings to mind my kitties laying all around me in a great big overstuffed chair. A cup of hot coffee and a good book complete the picture. Next to me is the man I love who is reading as well. It is a cold and rainy day outside and we have music (soft rock) playing in the background. Life is good…life is cozy….life is comfortable between 2 best friends.

sideburns

These are the monster handlebars for bikers and general hell’s angels. Enjoy scaring little children and conservative church-goers. Sideburns are the way to go if you want an alternative lifestyle and not too many friends. Try them with amercian beer or irish stout, either way you’re sure to draw admiring looks from the local skanks.

booth

One Word. That’s it. That’s all it takes is one word to change your life. One Word, it’s the basis of my newly written book which is designed to empower the masses of people on how to excel beyond your greatest desires. One word. it’s the basis of etymology and the means of success given that a person will take the time to meditate on that one word as a means of seeing what the word means in “their life.”

Booth. Booth brings to memory those old concession stands that my bandmates abd I would purchase snakcs from during our one break following intermission at a hhighschool football game.

mango

I found the ripe mango lying on the ground, right under the tree. It was so perfectly ripe, I had to pick it up. I took it into the house and rinsed it off at the kitchen faucet. I was late for work. I grabbed my keys, threw my backpack over my shoulder and headed out the back door.

coward

Fear has been my constant companion. Yet, I go on and do all the things expected of me. There is no alternative to life, except death, and that just isn’t acceptable.

reader

Everyone is a reader. If one has even stopped their daily activity to look at a street sign they are considered a ‘reader.’ What makes one reader better than another, however? The answer is how closely a reader reads, and what they choose to understand about that specific text.

adventure

Stepping out of your comfort zone can be peoples worse nightmare. But to me it would be what makes life, life. We need adventure to truly experience our world. With out it, we would be just moving from A to B. How would that be living?

glossy

my toenails, for instance, they are glossy. I like the way when she’s done painting the color, the woman bends over my toes and adds a final layer of shine and glitter so that they will look freshly done forever, that is until the paint starts to chip, which it will sooner or later, usually sooner rather than later
